Mischief Monday - The Joys of Aging - by Lee

 Dear pals,

I am not as young as I once was. I also sometimes have a bit of trouble waiting to go out.

While Lady and Man are working hard to decrease the amount of time we are alone, currently they have 1 or 2 days a week where we are alone for more than 5 hours. Often on these days, we have taken to doing business in the house. Lady and Man are torn on if we can't hold it or if we are just used to going out or if we are just mad. Whatever the reason, Lady decided to get some pee pads to see if we would use them. She ordered ones that are too small, but that is ok, she has made them into a bigger mat. Now, excluding that time before Christmas when Phod was really sick, we have actually had success at using them, or at least mostly on them. This has made the Man and Lady's lives and clean up easier.

Set up by the back patio, a place we like to pee if our people aren't here.

This is one of the accommodations Lady and Man are making for us old dogs.  Getting old is not for the faint of heart!

your pal Lee, who sometimes forgets she is old

  2. Lee, you are a Good Dog, learning to use your pee pads and helping make life easier for your hard working Lady and Man. I hope they show their appreciation (with treats).

Oh yes, those pee pads save lot of embarassment - for efurrybuddy!!! I am sure that you find them okay and knowing that it keeps the peeps a bit happier is surely another 'relief'... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  4. Lee Standing ovation for the love and dedication your staff gives to accommodate yours and PHods. Needs and extra treats to you for using the pads. I have known people who train puppies to use pads but I had no idea one could be successful with Senior dogs. Just PROOF positive that you two are exceptionally smart.

  5. Getting older is sure no picnic and the peePads are a great idea. I haven't gotten there yet but thank you for the recommendation when I do.
