Thank You Thursday - Thanks Again Phenny - by Lee

As my angel boyfriend Easy use to say, "the PostMan came to my crib." He brought another parcel from my dear pal Phenny. Phenny had seen Easy had recorded my birthday on his calendar and being such a thoughtful pup, he went out and got me a gift.

It started with this lovely card. 

Then he sent one of Easy's favourite treats, Greenies! Know what, they are my favourite treat too! I love, love, love greenies. 

Please note the size that thoughtful Phenny sent. Compare it with the size that the Lady buys. 

Phenny is a much better shopper!

Thanks dear Phenny! I will enjoy these large Greenies and think of you and Easy.

Thank You Thursday - Thanks Phenny

Today's thank you goes out to Da Phenny, Angel Easy's brother, and his peeps. He sent a special gift all the way from France for us. Again, the original pictures of us opening the gift have been lost due to a memory card malfunction. So here we are dramatically recreating the gifts.

First up, showing he has taste, Phenny sent us some treats. This is one of the packages (we may or may not have eaten the other before realizing the pictures were lost!)

Because we know how special they are having come all the way from France, they are still more or less in one piece. There was also something else, but we are gonna save that for another day in the spring maybe.

Remembering Easy

Dearest Blogville pals,

As we are sure you have heard, Easy, Hailey's French boyfriend, was called to the bridge yesterday. Words can't describe the heartache we feel for the loss of such an amazing guy. Easy and his antics will be were memorable to say the least (who can forget the chaos party?). He was a wonderful friend to everyone.  He was thoughtful, always the first to lend support and help others, funny and creative. He was spirited and shared this spirit with Blogville. He was a great date and boyfriend.

Today we raise a glass to Easy's memory. We send a hug to Easy's staff. We know how devastated  they are and we hope our love and support makes their pain a little more bearable.  Through our tears, we remember Easy and we smile a little because no matter how sad and heavy our heart feels, when we think about a character like Easy and his adventures, we have to smile.

Easy's Birthday Weekend - Part Two - By Phod

Flat Easy and I thought we would have a little guy time and head into the City of Ottawa for a guy's night to celebrate his birthed. 

Our first stop was the art show of someone Lady works with. We really wanted to get some culture. 

The art show was downtown, near Parliament Hill. For some reason they wouldn't let us in for a tour, so we just enjoyed looking at it.

Then we decided to explore the Byward Market. The Byward Market is where Bytown, that became Ottawa was. It is named after Colonel By, the English guy who supervised the building of the Rideau Canal, known to locals simply as "The Market". This is where Ottawa's nightlife shines. We made a stop to Zaphod's, an important club for local music. We thought it sounded like a cool place.

Zaphod's happens to be beside this establishment. Easy thought we should check it out. Cause my Lady reads this blog and Lee may see it, I won't say what happens there. 

We also went for a hot chocolate, because how else would two pups in a big city cap off a night on the town?

Some other stuff happened, but BIL Easy and I have sworn we won't talk about it. What happens in the Market, stays in the Market!

Today a special thanks goes out to Christmas for hosting the tea party yesterday. Hailey was honoured to be awarded best dressed. She would like to thank Easy for that as he is the one who picked her outfit.

Easy's Birthday Weekend - Part One - By Hailey

As you may remember, my handsomest boyfriend's Easy's flat came home to stay with us after the Blogville Awesome Retreat (BAR). We have been hanging out enjoying the summer and getting to know each other better. 

As Friday was boyfriend Easy's birthday and Sunday was my Gotcha Day, we decided to celebrate all weekend. 

We did a lot of fun things.

We played games:

Flat Easy helped me get Easy's birthday present ready for the mail. (Yes it is late, but Canada Post had been threatening a strike all summer and just came to an agreement. We didn't want things to get lost if the mail stopped moving).

Flat Easy presented us with our Pawlympic Tuneful Farting awards.

We had a lot of fun. Because I don't like to go out in the dark cause there might be fireworks, I sent the boys out for a night of fun. Stop by Thursday to hear about it.

87 million years ago, Hailey's French boyfriend Easy sent a big bone for the pups to share. I admit, I was hesitant to cut it (Easy was kind enough to send a bandaid with it, just in case), however, the Man was ready to take it on. Fortunately, we didn't need a bandaid!

Thankful Thursday - For Easy - by Hailey

Dear handsomest Easy,

Thank you very much for the wonderful Easter gifts you sent from far away France. I was thrilled to receive them.

Lady thought I should share the elephant toys with Phod.  I immediately took both from him, and left him sad on the floor.

While I am able to destroy things in record time, I enjoy the slow and methodical torture take them apart. As you can see I have been working on the bear from Valentine's Day.

Love From Across The Pond

Hailey was very excited to receive a Valentine's Day package from her boyfriend Easy. It arrived the day after the snow of the century.

Hailey did a pawsome job at opening it the package.

Thankful Thursday - Best Boyfriend by Hailey

Everyone, I wanted you to know that I have the bestest boyfriend in the world.   Easy is my very handsome and thoughtful French boyfriend who sent me wonderful birthday gifts.

Isn't Easy so handsome???

First Lady put the package down so we could give it a good sniff. Being a good sister I let Phody sniff too.

Then our Lady opened it and took the stuff away so she could get a freakin' picture (her priorities are wrong).

Easy even thought of our Lady and included a little something for her:

Lady then let me have a little sniff time with the mouse toy. Easy sent it to keep our mice away! 

Because it is special I am not allowed to dead it. I do get very excited every time Lady turns it on. It makes beautiful music.

Thank you to the most handsome and kind boyfriend!  The treats are very tasty in my belly!

My True Love Gave To Me - by Hailey

First to answer some questions about our tree.

I believe it is 15 feet. It is fake (I am too allergic to real ones). We ordered it from Home Depot when we moved into the house. We do use a ladder to decorate part of it, and we also lean through the bars upstairs!

Zaphod is about twice as big as Hailey. She is about 35 lbs and he is close to 75 lbs.

My heart got a little faster when Lady brought the mail in and there was a parcel for me, from my true love Easy. I could smell him on it. Being the lady I am, I let Phod smell it too. 

Lady actually let me start to open it. I wanted to show off my mad ripping up skills to Easy.

She took it away before I was done, because she didn't want me to damage what was inside. I think it gives Easy a tease of what I am capable of. 

First there was a beautiful card, made with Easy's own paws (ok the paws of his Lady, but under his close supervision). Look at that handsome face. 

Easy sent me (and because he is such a gentleman a gift for Phod too and the Lady) an advent calendar. Unfortunately, Lady read the directions and it says only one piece a day, so we are getting only one a day. I get it after Lady shoves the pill down my throat. The gift for Lady, well it didn't say one a day and it barely lasted 2.  (I won't say she is piggy but you can come to your own conclusion about that).
