Dear pals,
Last week, for no reason the power was out for like 6 hours. During that time, Lady, who set up a desk in front of the fire, did a good job at keeping the generator and fire going, and getting a little work done.

In the afternoon, once the power was back, Lady went to add wood to the fire. She didn't realize how much the wood in the fireplace had shifted to the front. When she opened the doors, a burning piece fell out and landed on the blanket I had been sleeping on earlier. At this point I had gone upstairs for a drink and was having an upstairs nap.
The log that feel out, started a small fire on the blanket. The flames were low, but the smouldering was high.
Somehow, Lady remained calm, although there were a LOT of HBO words, and got the flaming log back in the fireplace and carried the blanket to the patio door where she put it in the -20 cold.
