Thanks to Rosy for hosting this event.
First up, while its blooms are all done, Lady has a funny story about our daffodil. She had bought it for Easter last year and when she was done, threw it outside behind the composter. Well, it grew and bloomed!
Next up is the apple tree at the end of our lane in the field. These pictures were taken a few hours before the derecho and the tree was damaged. It lost a big branch and many blooms in the the storm. We will see how many apples come this year for our deer friends.
We all watched it and watched the bees enjoying it. Our neighbour D reminded us the fuzzy bees are good and we aren't allowed to kill them.

Well done on the neighbourhood watch guys. The blossom is just gorgeous. We hope the apple tree comes good.
ReplyDeleteWe were lucky that big storm didn't affect us too badly. But it did knock out some of the pear tree blossoms. But it looks like plenty of pears are starting to grow now. Oh, and we have a compost pile, and sometimes we find garden flowers growing in it too.
