Mischief Monday - The Comedian - by The Lady

As a child of the 70s, I was (and am) a huge Muppets fan.  Fozzie Bear, the comedian, was my favourite (as an adult I have a soft spot for Rolf). I never imagined, I would grow up to have a dog who thought he was a comedian.

The current joke Phod plays with us goes something like this:

We let him off leash at the end of the driveway.

We walk toward the house and often put Lee in the house (she does not have a fondness for cold winter days).

Phod sits at the end of the driveway.

A dramatic recreation:)

You call, he sits.

He sits entirely still and sometimes you think maybe there is something wrong (especially on the very cold days, like maybe his paws hurt to much to walk).

You walk back down the driveway toward him.

He stays perfectly still.

You reach him and he smiles at you and takes off up the driveway to the house.

I'm so funny!

Turns out the comedian is not a bear, it is a dog:) Waka waka!

  2. my hubby and I are laughing out loud. our Baby Girl did this same thing, but at the front fence. she would go up there to watch the front yard, Bob woudl call her, she would look calmly over her shoulder and turn back to the street watching. she would not come until Bob said don't make me come get you and start to the fence, when he was almost there she would race past him to the back door... loved this post

  7. You are too funny, Phod! Millie likes to sit in the yard if she doesn't think we should be going in when the pawrents say it's time. Then someone walks out towards her and she realizes she won't win that battle and comes in. She just has to try to be able to stay out longer.

  9. Haha! Phod made you walk more steps! When Chester doesn't want to go in, we simply close the back door. Within a minute, he runs to the door, and whines to come inside!
