Firmoo - Helping me see my dogs better

I was very excited to be asked to try a pair of Firmoo glasses for an honest review of the product. I have been wearing glasses since I was 5 (so for 30+ years). I have tried contacts, but the chemicals damaged my eyes, so I will be staying a glasses girl.

Firmoo (click on the link to learn more about the company) ships its product from China. It took about 3 weeks for me to receive my trial. A second pair had to be sent as the first pair was lost, so I think they would normally arrive sooner.

It appears from a search of their site that the prices of the glasses are all under $100 (that includes frames, lenses and lenses). Many are under $50. As someone who has always bought my glasses through the optometrist I know this is a steal!

What I liked:

  • The price - I could have several pairs of glasses for those prices.
  • The selection - there were lots of different pairs to chose from.
  • The look - I think I look cool:)
  • The prescription is perfect.

Things I didn't like:
  • I didn't like not being able to try them on - probably because for 30 some years I have been trying on at least 30 pairs to pick one. I think if I was to use them again, I would go somewhere and try similar pairs on to get a feeling of how they would look.
  • I have yet been able to adjust the one arm so it doesn't rub. I will keep at it, but I still don't have them adjusted correctly (again, likely because for 30 years I have had someone do this for me).

Overall, given the price and quality, I would definitely consider going through Firmoo for my next pair of glasses.

Bonus: Firmoo has offered me five - $30 vouchers for glasses. I will give them to the first 5 people to email me at leeandphodATbellDOTnet.

  1. We have been using Zenni Optical for years now (also from China) and their glasses are always perfect...my reading glasses only ever cost around $30.00 which beats the cheapest pair I could get at walmart for $175 !

  7. WHAT a super BARGAIN... Now if the CHINESE can do them fur that price WHY can't OTHERS???
In 1999 mom went to Niagra, Canada and had her eyes LAZERED... fur $1,000.00 NOW she only has to buy "CHEATERS" from the drugstore... just fur reading and seeing SMALL stuffs.. like threading needles and such. Over the years... that cost has SAVED her like 87 BAZILLION BUCKS and she LOVES it.
OMD you REALLY found a SUPER SAVER... NOW look at the $$$ she can spend on TREATS and TOYS. Just Sayin.

  8. A great deal! Mom USED to wear glasses and MANY years ago she worked in an in-store lab and made the glasses herself! Then mom got LASIK (highly recommends it). She used to be blind without glasses and now she sees very well. BTW, when mom used to make those glasses, she would see the ticket from the wholesaler showing how much the retailer REALLY paid for the lenses and frames (the lenses were uncut cuz mom would cut them to fit the frames). She said there is a WHOLE LOT of increase in the price! Also mom said to tell you that the "arm" is actually called the "temple" and that any place selling glasses (at least in the USA) will typically make adjustments on any frame no matter where you got it. Mom also says that boys make passes at girls who wear glasses. I don't know what that means but she giggles when she says it.

  9. Mom can't see to the end of her nose w/o her glasses. She said she'd pay the higher prices so she can try on different pairs and having someone to adjust them for her.

    Aroo to you,

  10. Hmmm this looks cool! I wear glasses too. I really want my contacts back though, but I was so bad about sleeping in them when I had them. It's been a few years since I've had contacts now.
