Feline Friday - The aftermath

The drawback to having the extra dogs in the house was that they are not as cat savvy as ours. Now, the little bit of time they spent with our cats, they were not aggressive or anything, they were just curious. If my cats were a little younger (ie not 18), I may have let them have more time together. However, I decided it would be the most relaxing for everyone if the cats spent the weekend, more or less, in the laundry room (this is where their litter is).

For the post part I think the cats were fairly happy, as long as the food dish was full. When I let them out about 30 seconds after my parents left, this is what happened: Nin was thrilled. He came out meowing, I think telling me everything that had happened for the past few days, and he was climbing all over me. Baggy took his time coming out and has been "nicer" since letting him out. When I pick him up to put him on the counter for food, he usually yells at me. This week, he has purred every time. It is nice!

When I asked the cats to share how they felt, this was their response:

"I lived for 9 years with those stupid white dogs, I can spend a few days away from stupid big dogs"

I think his face says it all!

  2. Twinkie spends time in "her room" when we have doggie company too. Just easier that way.

  7. Sounds like the cats may have to have some laundry time every once in awhile, so they see how good they have it! We're sure they'll be back to their usual selves soon.
