Trouble on A Tuesday - by Lee

 Dear pals,

We are not liking the 'endemic' our people are talking about. We liked the pandemic when they hardly ever left.

On Saturday the most horrible thing happened. Lady took us for a nice long walk (the last day of winter was lovely, before the rain came). We had breakfast and then the people left for pickle ball. We don't like this, but it is our new Saturday routine and it is short so we accept it. They came home, gave us another breakfast, showered, got dressed and then left for 87 million hours.

They came home around 9, where we got dinner (which is very late as dinner is to be served at 6:30).

I was so excited they returned, I jumped up here!

In spite of this transgression, we were good and didn't destroy anything or have any accidents.

I think I am going to miss the pandemic more than most.

Your pal Lee, the abandoned.

Editor's note: In Quebec, with the exception of masking, all regulations have been lifted. In Ontario, all regulations have been lifted, including masking. Lady works out of the home 3 days per week (in Ontario, in an office that is not fully removing masking yet as we work with vulnerable people). The Man is still home, and hopes to be home now forever (or at least home part time). On Saturday, we went to the first, non-family member's home since February 2020. We have been in people's yards the past 2 years but we have not sat on anyone who was not family's couch. We are slowly getting back out into the world!

Reminder - go to Monday's post to learn about our contest!

  1. so sorry you have been 'abandoned' by your People. I do understand their desire to be out and about but also feel for the two of you. So happy you were good and did not destroy anything... I wish for you many sunshine days and no stormy days

Sounds like Lady has the same conundrum some peeps here have, in Scotland, still masking, wouth of the Border, nope. And our cases are on the rise again regardless... hey ho. At least, Lee, you were a good girl, even if a tad put out! Hugs and wgas, YAM-aunty xxx

  5. That is terrible that your pawrents feel it's okay to leave you again. We're glad to hear you both behaved and didn't make any messes to clean up.

  8. That is totally not acceptable when your dinner is served two and a half hours late. There is no excuse!

  9. Chester is lucky that he almost always has someone home with him (Dad is retired) and we don't go much.

All of our snow is gone here in WNY, and even the parking lot snow mountains are turning into little piles of dirt. But we're sure winter hasn't said good-bye for good yet!

  11. Hi there Lee!
I'm puppy Nobby, successor to Bouncing Bertie, and I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your family better. Is there a minimum age for entering the snow competition? I'm only 8 weeks and 1 day old, and I don't know much about the changing seasons, although I have noticed it's getting warmer - and lighter - in NE Scotland right now.
    Toodle-oo!
    Nobby.

  12. Bravo Miss Lee on your superb behaviors. You showed great restraint after being abandoned, er left for a long time. Well done.

  13. Abandonment is the worst. Hang in there, frens. We are all pretty much in the same boat with this situation. I'd suggest shivering, but I already know it DOESN'T WORK.

    Love and licks,
