Nature Friday - Friends by Phod

Thanks to our dear friend Rosy for hosting Nature Friday.

Lady, you must stop working right now and take me outside.

Abby and the girls have stopped by and it wouldn't be friendly if I didn't chase them up the trees.

Editor's note: At this time we have between 4-8 wild turkeys every day at the feeder. They are there most of the day eating the sunflower seeds the birds and squirrels drop. While wild turkeys usually walk, they can fly short distances to roost in the trees. Nothing brings Phod more joy than chasing them up trees.

  7. We also have wild turkeys living in our valley here in rural New Zealand. While they do not come onto our garden, peacocks do and they are fun to chase for a maremma. I don't know about turkeys but peacocks are very noisy.

  11. We used to have wild turkey here at our place, but it is too built up now, and the turkey and quail have moved on. Yours are beautiful, Phod!

  12. Chasing birds is super fun. I always wonder what I'd do if I ever caught one. NOT that I am ever anywhere near close. But yikes. *shiver*

    Love and licks,
