LADY IS HOME!

I, the worst Lady who has ever lived, went away without the pups. Why I am the worst, is not that I went away, but that I went away to a place they would be more than welcome at - I went to visit my parents.

I decided not to take the dogs because to be honest, traveling with them alone is a big pain!

I wish I had a video of my arrival home. Hailey was so, so excited she was shaking. I don't think I have ever seen her so happy to see me. Maybe it is because they had a huge storm on Monday that took out some trees.

Once Hailey had jumped on me and kissed me and wiggled until she nearly fell over, it was Phod's turn. I don't think he has ever kissed me so much! As I was resting on the couch after the long drive home, he was very snuggly.

I think I need to go away more often!

Don't ever leave again

  1. That is EXACTLY how Chloe and LadyBug were when I went away for a weekend! They get SO attached to us, don't they?? We thought their tails were going to fall off! You would have thought I was gone for MONTHS! They just plain make us feel really loved...glad you had a safe trip!

  11. Ghostwriter says the best part of having doggies is that greeting when you come home. It doesn't matter if you've been gone for a week, or for five minutes!

  22. I'm with you on handling two dogs. I find it challenging and would probably choose the same route you did.

But that homecoming sure sounds nice. Sampson usually plasters himself against me for an entire night. I call it blissful. :-D

  30. That's so sweet! When I left the boys at my mom's house for a week last year, they didn't acknowledge me much. I think Shiver thought I was going to leave him there for good. Chico was all, "Heyay, wut up?" and was his pretty normal self after that. We went home though and they both stayed by my side for days afterwards.

  31. There's nothing like those greetings when you go away! I am guilty of leaving our dogs for at least 2-3 weekends each year, and the homecoming is always the best.

  32. It is great to know you are loved and missed isn't it? I am dreading being gone overnight one night in Sept. and still don't know how I am going to do it and who I am going to get to watch the Mob, especially with Bree since she is still so wary of strangers....
