While the weather remains below seasonable (meaning below freezing) and as I prepare this post for Friday it is snowing out (and snowing heavily), there is one sign that spring is here - longer days.
Our morning walks are light enough we don't need the headlamp. My drive home is bright enough I don't need headlights.
One of the field we walk by most mornings |
It is now bright enough in the morning, we can stop and admire our deer friends, who have returned.
Taken in the field across the road from the house |
It was a truly beautiful moment Wednesday morning when the dogs and I could just stand peacefully and watch the 6 deer in the field.
More deer |
yes, it's true the days are longer now... even one sign of spring LOL I use my headlights anyway our sensor has a bug and it always shows me the turn the lights on sign :o)

I enjoy seeing deer, they are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that you were able to watch the deer peacefully. Zoe would be screaming and freaking out on the end of her leash. She discovered deer when we lived at my inlaws and hasn't been the same since! LOL
ReplyDeleteGood thing the leads were on, or we don't think the 'stand peacefully' to watch the deer would have happened....just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteWe finally went back to standard time, so we can walk in light. It makes everything easier, doesn't it.
Our mom is sending wishes for green grass. BUTT me and Stanley love the snow so we wish we could come and play!

Murphy & Stanley
How lucky to see those beautiful deer! Ghostwriter used to see deer all the time wandering around the little woods near the nursing home where she works. Now the woods has been replaced by a solar farm and the deer don't know where to hide, so they left.
ReplyDeleteBut yes, we're glad for the longer days now. Wish the weather would warm up some more!
We love the longer days too because we get an extra walk if it isn't too cold for the Momster.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend.
Woos - Ciara and Lightning

How beautiful - I think Mom needs to take me to the park this weekend, there are LOTS of deer in the big city, living in these parks that are the size of small towns.

We luv da longer days too.
ReplyDeleteWe are loving that it's still light out in the evening. Now if it just would get a little warmer.
