Mischief Monday - Tales From A Crazy Week

 Dear pals,

It was a wild week here last week. First, the Man had a bit of a return of the Covid, but at the time of writing this, he is feeling much better. Lady went to a conference for a few days. Her travel companion, who had the hotel room, had to cancel at the last minute due to a car accident (the friend is fine, it is just the accident was in the rental - not her fault - because her new car was in the shop because it had been stolen and recovered 2 days before). The friend had too many police, insurance, collision centre things to deal with. Now you are wondering why the friend didn't just add Lady to the hotel reservation, well the friend would have but another business was paying the $700 a night, so she couldn't. Lady was able to secure free lodging with a friend who was one of the keynote speakers. It all worked out and Lady had a good time, saw a lot of colleagues and flew for the first time since March 2020.

We heard there were two dogs at this conference. One was a service dog, not pictured, who had a command 'make a friend' so Lady would touch him. Then there was this dog.

For us personally, even though we missed Lady a lot, the start of the hat tax was the worst thing to happen. Lady is doing something different this year. She will do an official hat tax photo shoot later in the month, and in the meantime she will also do some random, we are just minding our own business ones.

Here is the first payment of December.

  1. Hari OM
Uh oh... Gracious, random hat attacks? You have my sympawthees... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  2. Well Santa Phod, we fear things can only get worse on the hat front.
But we are pleased that Man is feeling better again, and hope the nasty Covid thing does not come back to bite again.

  3. Oh dear! The Lady snuck that hat on Phod while she was taking his picture on the settee. We like your Grinch pillow.

  4. It sounds like everyone is safely home and feeling better

  5. Phod thank goodness Man is on the mend...hopefully for good this time.
I'm glad Lady enjoyed the meeting. I hope she didn't return with any plane cooties. BOL
Phod if you didn't get motion sick I'd tell you to come here where there is no hat tax.
    Hugs Cecilia

  6. I don't like craziness. I like when things go smoothly.
Coffee is on and stay safe

  7. Oh's gonna be a loooonnnnngggggg hat tax month BOL!

  8. Sorry glad that you have to pay the price for all of us to smile and look at your photos but you do look so sweet! So glad you your mom found a place to stay. And her friend that she was going to stay with that is just too much to happen at this time of year all in one time. Looking forward to the pictures no matter if you pay the tax or don't pay the tax
