Two Years With Phod

First picture of Phod
Yesterday marked 2 years since our boy came to live with us. It is hard to believe he has been with us for such a short time. It really feels like forever. I think this is was because of his easy transition to our pack. He marked our bed when he first walked in and he slept by the front door his first night, but the next day took his place at the foot of the bed.

We are so blessed to have my Karma Dog (I say the universe gave me a calm, gentle Phod as a reward for my patience with Lee, the heartache of Gemi's loss, and the long road with Loki).

Here are my 2 favourite things about Phody.

1) He is so, so gentle. He will catch groundhogs and not hurt them. He is super with kids (he was a huge hit at my parents with my cousins and with the neighbour kids).

2) He is a fetch-a-holic. I love the joy playing fetch brings him.

We are so lucky to have our boy.

He had a great gotcha day. I made bake-a-bone which he loved. I also made the ice cream treats from Love is Being Owned by a Husk, which he wouldn't eat (he is so picky), but Hailey loved! I don't think he appreciated all the singing at him! Thank you all for all your great wishes.

Help wanted: We were featured on the Writer's Process Blog Tour this week on Life with Dogs and Cats. As part of this tour I am suppose to introduce 3 blogs I love. I am having trouble finding blogs who haven't done it and are interested. If you are interested don't be shy, email me at leeandphodATbellDOTnet, and help me out (it is totally stressing me out lol!)/

  8. Mom Kim here - it is a good thing to have to dogs who can bring some balance into your life like that. Both of mine have pretty much mellowed out altho at times I refer to Diva Shasta as my "perpetual puppy" because sometimes she still show puppy-like action and chewing like a puppy even tho she will soon be 8.

I was feeling good about my writing tour - my blog post is almost done and then I remembered - I still need to find those 3 blogs to pass this on to. Welllllll ........somewhere, there has to be a few - don't they?

  9. Thanks for joining the blog hop!! I'm sorry I missed Zaphod's Gotcha Day so I send my joyous wishes belatedly. It sounds like you had a super day for him.

Sampson is the calm and quiet one, although I'm not sure what he'd do with a ground hog.:-) I always joke that if it weren't for Sampson there would be no Delilah, cause if I'd gotten her first, I would never have gotten another dog! LOL

  10. Happy Gotcha Day Phod! Sounds like you had a great day. I've already done the blog tour, and it seems like most people are having a hard time now finding people to pass it on to.
