Dear reader,
You would assume indoor cats would be spared the indignation of being forced to meet dogs, however, in this new house, this is not the case.
As you may recall, the SPCA stated I should not be in a home with dogs. However, after hearing about Zaphod, and reviewing my record (no one could clearly tell why this was on my profile) I came to a dog house.
Our time together was short, and I did my best to avoid the dog. We had come to an understanding. However, on Friday, the Lady and Man violated our agreement and let Callie in the house. As she shares her home with 3 cats (Milo, Cinder and Ash), Callie at least is respectful enough for a dog.
Neither Styx nor I enjoyed being sniffed by this canine. At least her visit was quick.

The human who brought Callie, brought us this.
We hope it was a one off and Callie stays outside where she belongs.

that was a super cute gift ... yay for visitors huh?
ReplyDeleteWell, visitors (of all kinds, smells and shapes) come and go. Here, June always prefers they "go, and go quickly" ... it's kind of a cat thing maybe?
ReplyDeleteCalli seemed to be very respectful and she wanted to meet the two of you. What a nice gift she brought!
ReplyDeleteWe think you did pretty good with the dog...doesn't look like you swatted him at all!

Callie looks furry much like our Cinnamon did! I, marvelous HATES dogs! And not only did we have Cinnamon, but the rambunctious Nutmeg came along! I can tolerate Nutmeg. She has been around me since she was a baby and I have trained her well. She is Furry respectful of Moi (not so much Jo Jo and Kozmo who were raised with Dogs). We LOVE your puffy Racoon Tail! Keep being AWESOME guys! And we LOVe to hear about your new life. Marvelous Marv, Kozmo, Jo Jo and the Nutcase (and Mom Barb)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure things will work out.

ReplyDeleteTigris and Styx, I think the fact that you faced up to Callie at all and didn't go spat and scatter, is really rather wonderfurs and you just never know what you might find as time goes on. Lots of that big ell Love helped here methinks - including what came with the sweet card made by hand with only you in mind. It's hard to resist, though I know, being the strong current cats you are, you will do your best to do so! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
I 100% agree with YAM aunty...I see Phod's ball Precious so I know that gave you some comfort too. And Callie seems to be a gentle wolfie

Tigris, we think you and Styx are safe from any encounters with us. Mom says we love all our virtual kitty pals, but she would never trust us to meet a kitty up close and personal.

Callie seems to be sweet. Your mom would never let you be in danger.
ReplyDeleteYou must be a grand cat to make such fast friends with your dog siblings.
ReplyDeleteYou just tell that Callie who's boss in your house! MOL.
ReplyDeleteCallie is such a sweet pup, you two should let her visit more often.
