Tasty Tuesday - Hard Done By Dogs

Dear pals,

We are living in hard times. The Man has cooked duck a few times lately and kept the duck fat. Because we have not been as enthusiastic over our food, sometimes he puts some in it.

The first time, he just put it on, and Princess Hailey, did not like the texture. Therefore, he has taken to heating it up and pouring it in our food.

This means we have to wait for our dinner.

We are clearly hard done by.

....sspohhoowowwhthththtl... golly I nearly purted tea all over the keyboard! Hard done by?!!! Gracious dogs, you have no idea... just you enjoy every morself of that duck-infested kibbles and remember all the poor dogs in India who have to scrabble the dunghills for a single bite... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx (who's only slightly miffed at you and will forgive you by tomorrow!)

  2. if beau visited and ate food with duck fat on it, dad would get a surprise. for some reason Beau throws up the next day if he eats any kind of animal fat. that includes steak, chicken, pork so am think it would include duck. we have to remove the fat from any meat products. he also throws up if he eats potatoe chips whice are of course fat filled

  3. That sounds super yummy! We'll have to see if we can get our pawrents to cook some duck and save the fat for us too.

  4. When angel Joey dog was getting old and had less appetite, we would give him meat juice to lap up. This was the liquid that accumulates in the serving dish from unseasoned grilled steak or burgers. Now Chester gets this since he's reaching a certain age. We've never known a doggie to turn it down.
