Thanks to Rosy for hosting!
There are leaves to sniff.
The fall photo tree turned yellow later.
Lady's special oak, one that grew from a tree her great-grandmother planted 900 km away, is growing and the leaves have changed.
Callie's Man brought over 4 cords of wood. About half is stacked now. Lady does not enjoy this annual chore!
we agree with your mom... we hade that kind of wood work, but it has to be done or we will get cold butts ;O)
ReplyDeleteYour autumn colors are so pretty! Mom has stacked lots of wood before and it's always a relief when the job is complete.
ReplyDeleteI will come stack the wood if she will come pay my end of year bills, which is what I am facing this month... the trees are spectacular
ReplyDelete33 degrees here this morning in SE USA. My cousin in Williamsburg, ON says that she had a few snowflakes already!
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful golds in your yard Lee.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lady wood stacking is a necessary evil chore kinda like dusting...
Hugs Cecilia
You have some beautiful fall colors around you, Hailey. Stacking wood doesn't look like a fun job. Do you help by trying to steal one and chew on it?

ReplyDeleteAll those colours mean the year is going into hibernation - the wood pile suggests that you all might be too!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Gail is intrigued by the unit of measurement you mention and had to google 'cord' of wood. I don't think the term is used here in the UK. Hard work stacking all those logs, whatever the quantity is called!
ReplyDeleteHappy Nature Friday!
Looks like a busy and beautiful fall!!

You know what I like the smell of fall.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Autumn's really setting in where you are. We had a frost last night, and the trees are finally getting colorful.
ReplyDeleteWood stacking (come to think of it, chopping) is no fun but oh, what a cozy feeling it provides on cold winter days.
