Mischief Monday - Abandonned - by Lee

 Hey pals,

Just letting you know that Lady abandoned us on the weekend and went away for 87 million years. Besides leaving us and messing up our routine, it means she didn't get any blogs ready or red us your blogs. She thought a girls weekend to Niagara Falls to celebrate two of her friends birthdays was a better use of time. She will be back by next week apparently. I will decide if I am going to talk to her. 

So you remember my face until she gets back.

Mischief Monday - Weather and Break

Dear pals,

Look what happened not once but twice last week!

Snow! Don't worry, it didn't stay! The weather is now below freezing at night. Winter is coming.

Lady has started her prep. Her tires have been changed (oh and great news she will be getting new brakes soon) and Man's will be done soon. We are still waiting for our wood to be delivered. Callie's Man is stressing us out. The deck is still not finished. Apparently it will be this week. Lady feels like she has so much going on. She is ok. we are ok. 

Lady is traveling for work this week and is completely disorganized in life - something about being out all day Saturday . . . we have no sympathy for her because she made that choice and we were here alone. At any rate, we will be taking a short brake and hope to be back sometime next week.

Gone Fishing

We will be off this week as Lady says her life is crazy and she needs to take what she can off her plate so she doesn't loose what she has left of her mind. We will be back next week with hopefully many great adventures! 

Dear Man - Day Two

 Dear Man,

You will be happy, and maybe surprised, to hear that on Sunday, as is custom, Lady made pancakes. We refuse to say if they were as good as yours because Lady said you come home late next Sunday and we want to make sure we get some next week. Subpar pancakes are better than no pancakes. Lady did not give us the fancy syrup. 

Lady says they couldn't have been too bad because Lee ate all her breakfast after a day of not really eating. 

Phod spends most of his time at the door, awaiting your return.

Lee was glued to the Lady on  Saturday, but on Sunday is back to her normal routine. 

While there is still some snow, there is more grass and some of us have been rolling a lot.  Lady has been keeping with our regular outings. She says tired pups are good pups. 

Speaking of tired, Lady tricked us this week, and we had to go to camp. We will tell you all about that on Thursday.

Dear Man - Day One

We interrupt some of our regularly scheduled programming to bring you a special series, called Dear Man. Our Man is out globe trotting (aka on a cruise ship in the Caribbean) while we are at home with the Lady. We thought we would post a journal for him.

Dear Man,

After you left at 3:30 am Saturday morning, we went back to sleep until after 7. Lady made us wait but then she took us on a hike in the sugar bush (aka woods behind our house). She learned from the neighbours they are likely done boiling and we missed it this year, while we were avoiding people so you wouldn't get the Covid before you went. They said they got about 80 litres and when they are less Covid-y (avoiding them was a good idea), they will bring some maple syrup over.

While Lady was cleaning the house, she found this . . . maybe this is why some puppies looked guilty when you got home the other day.

Callie came over to visit a lot. We think she is bored living with sick people. when the non-sick people were out, we stayed far away.

Overall, we had a good first day without you. It was mostly a typical Saturday.

Back Soon!

As you read this, our Lady has left us for 87 million years. 

You see our Big Guy is medically fragile so Lady went to see him and Grammie and deal with a house she and Aunt C inherited the contents of right before the pandemic before she goes back to the office (she works with disabled kids so social distancing will not always be possible). Lady will be going back to the office 1 day a week starting next week. 

She has left us alone for a week with the Man. We love our Man but he doesn't do the walks and stuff like we are use to. It is different and maybe not always in a good way. Lady says if we have learned anything in 2020 it is how to be flexible. 

Lady says we will be trying to visit but not posting. We will have a lot to talk about next week!

Taking A Break

We are going to be taking a bit of a blog break while we are off adventuring! We will be back with all our adventures by the end of the month. We will miss you all (as Lady is going to be offline most of it). Be safe!

We are going to be away from Blogville for about a week. We will be back with snow updates and hopefully many wonderful adventures to share.

Mischief Monday - We Were Abandonned

On January 24, we knew something was a paw . . .  the suit cases were out.  Lady and Man were being weird. I, Hailey Bug, tried to make Lady feel very guilty about going away by being the most snuggly girl in the world (pictured below). It didn't work. The video above is us when we realized it was time to leave. If only we knew we were being left at camp for 87 million days while the peeps went sun searching.

There is no video of us being picked up as we jump too much and all the other dogs are too loud. Lady has some scratches on her, but serves her right for leaving us. Other than our usual fence fighting (the other dogs start it), we were good.

We are happy to be back. Lady will share some of there adventures over the coming days/weeks (depends how much blog space we will give her).

Trouble Tuesday

We will be off the grid for a little over a week as our Lady goes on a work trip to California. She is very excited about it. She has never been to California. We are not excited that she is leaving us for a week. Man is not excited that he will be responsible for our walks, and making sure we get our tic meds, and all our care. We will miss her. We will try and behave for the Man.

Gone Fishin'

Ok, not really but Lady is feeling a bit overwhelmed with the work and getting ready for mini-BAR etc. etc. so we are going to take a short blogging break. We are going to try and keep visiting you all as best we can. We will be back in a couple weeks! We will be ready to party when we return. Early September will march 7 years of having Hailey and blogging!

Mischief Monday - She Left Us - by Lee and Phod

Dear Blogville,

Our Lady did a terrible thing. Last Tuesday she took lots and
lots of bags (Editor's note - it was 7) and got in the car and was away for 87 million days (Editor's note - it was 6). We were the saddest dogs ever. The Man only walked us and fed us and gave us treats and played with us and let us hog the bed. It was terrible. He only worked from home 2 days to be with us. We were so hard done by.

Lady says she wasn't in a place that would be fun for dogs. She was away visiting the Big Guy. She said the hospital and ICU (which the Big Guy got out of on Saturday before she left and is now in the ward) is not a fun place.  We don't believe her, we went through her phone and found this picture. She was at a party. She left us for 87 million days with the Man who took care of us to go to a party in ICU.

If we weren't so happy to see her, we would be mad!

We Will Return

Lady has the craziest week ever with life and mostly work. She has to get up at 4:30 am some days to make sure we get a good walk. She is leaving the house around 6 am and won't be home until after 6:30 pm. After this really crazy week, things should go back to closer to normal. Because we won't be able to visit all our pals the way we want (we will do our best to check in), we aren't going to post this week.

Don't worry, it is just a week. We promise we will continue to have great adventures (like barking at the wind at 2:45 am) so we have lots of cool stuff to talk about.
