Dear pals,
I had a very not fun adventure on Friday. Lady put me in the car and drove with me for 87 million hours. I was not happy and I threw up in her car.
I was even more unhappy when I realized we were at the vet. I showed her how unhappy I was by pooping all over the examining room floor! Lady says in 19 years of dog ownership, this was a first. Loki use to get so excited he would pee, but no one has been so scared they pooped. My vet was good about it and just cleaned it up.
Lady and Man had found a little lump on me and after text exchanges with our vet Woody, he wanted to see me, so he worked me in. His guess was it was nothing but he wanted to be sure.
The good news is the lump is just fat and nothing to worry about. Woody was more concerned about how much I have been shedding. It was a lot there and it has been a lot at home. Lady is suppose to watch and see, as it could just be seasonal.
I was very happy to get home and I hope I don't need to go back for a long time!
your pal, Zaphod, the German Shedder

ReplyDeleteYikes, that was not a fun trip at all, dear Zaphod!!! But I am glad that the lump was just fatty (angel Jade had those too). I would have thought you would be adding furs to your coat for winter, not shedding them... then again, we of a certain age do tend to find things just get thinner and thinner in the furst department, regardless of the temperatures! (Trust me, I know!) Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Phod... we totally understand... hate that vet place too... and the idea with the poop is not bad, we will try that next time. Hugs to you, we hope the shedding is just seasonal and there is nothing to worry.... like with that lump, so good that the vet had at the end super news for ya...
ReplyDeleteOh dear, it sounds like the old "stress and anxiety" were on overtime and overload for you dear Phod. But now you're safe and sound at home, all is well and good ... so relax! No worries, OK sweet boy!
ReplyDeleteOh Phod darling I know how much you had riding. BUT sometimes it is necessary.
ReplyDeleteAngel Madi only had to ride 5 minutes to the vet...she started sing the song of her people in first soprano from the moment she was in the PTU the chorus she sang was hissy.
Thank goodness all is aok with the lumpy bump and may the German shedder cease soon
Hugs cecilia
so sorry Phod, i know you were embarassed you could not hold it. Sounds like stress pooping to me and i am so happy the lump is nothing to fret over... I hope your shedding is seasonal, and not stress related. when Beau was so sick for 9 days, he shedded a lot more than usual... hugs sweet Phod..
ReplyDeleteSorry about you going to the vet, Phod. I don't like it much either. There's nothing wrong with pooping there. The vet usually wants a poo sample anyway.
ReplyDeleteHow not fun for you, Phod. We're glad to hear that your lump was just fatty and nothing more serious and we hope your shedding is seasonal. It does seem concerning with winter on the way. You need your thick warm coat.
ReplyDeletePhod, I'm sorry you had to go through all of that. But glad that the lump is just some fat. Y'know...I've been known to pee in my carrier when I go to the vet. ~Ernie
ReplyDeletePoop, vomit, and shedding - the doggie trifecta. I'm sorry for that very bad day, fren. It's good news about the bump, tho. Don't go back to the vet's house anymore.
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
Cupcake
You really showed Lady how upset you were with her taking you to the vet. We're glad to hear your lump isn't anything to be worried about though.
ReplyDeletePhod, Misty peed the last time she went to the vet, but it was because she was so happy the vet was rubbing her belly:) Lightning has lots of lumps, and they are usually of no concern, but Mom gets nervous every time she finds a new one. Best to have them checked out. Hope you had a good resting time after your visit.
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
"The German Shedder"๐๐๐๐๐๐Seriously, i hope nothing is wrong!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you had the poop scared out of you and glad it's nothing serious. Hang on to your furs-it seems like it might be a cold winter.
