Come Laugh With Us - Remembering Madi

In honour of our favourite Diva and cat Madi we join Blogville with a day of laughter.

What could be funnier than 2 dogs telling cat jokes!

Phod: Some of these are so bad Lee, I don't think I can look.
Lee: That is what makes them funny!

Q: There were 10 cats in a boat and one jumped out. How many were left?
A: None, because they were copycats!

Q: Did you hear about the cat who swallowed a ball of yarn?
A: She had a litter of mittens.

Q: What do you call a pile of kittens?
A: a meowntain
Q: What do you call a lion who has eaten your mother's sister?
A: An aunt-eater!

Q: What do you call the cat that was caught by the police?
A: The purrpatrator.

Q: What did the cat say when he lost his toys?
A: You got to be kitten me.

We know the Queen of the Sun puddle will love this last one:

To Madi's people: Thank you for sharing her life and adventures. We hope all the love and laughter today bring joy to your broken hearts.

Thanks-Blogville

Today was join Jakey, Arty and Rosy in the Thanks-Blogville Blog Hop.

Blogville has allowed us to connect with people from all over the world. People from different walks of life, with different beliefs, cultures and traditions. These are people we would not have had the opportunity to meet in other circles. We are all brought together by the love of animals and the place they have in our lives and hearts. We share our joys, pains and laughter. Blogville is always around when we need support. Blogville never rolls their eyes when we share 'another' dog picture. Blogville teaches us a lot about being a pet owner.

We are thankful for all the love and understanding we have found in Blogville.

Lady is thankful Blogville gives her an excuse to travel to places she wouldn't.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American friends.

Blogville Election

It is time again for a Blogville election. While our American friends head to the polls in November, Blogville will also head to the polls.

At this point in the race, we are remaining non-partisan. Some of this is because we don't want to take sides and some of it is because we want to explore the issues and see the platforms of the candy-dates first. Also, we only get one vote, so that means we all have to come to an agreement . . . . this could take time.

We have known Arty the longest, as his blog was one of the first we found in Blogville. Lady also knows she is a little biased toward a shit tsu because of our angel Loki.

We just met Christmas a few months ago and are getting to know him. Now, while we are still undecided voters at this time, Zaphod has joined Christmas' secret service. All the candidates deserve protection from vacula and the squirrels.

Finally, we only met Lexi when she announced she was running. (Clearly our Lady has kept us living under a rock). We want to know more about what she will bring to Blogville if elected.

We think it is going to be a fun race and look forward to seeing what everyone brings to the table before we have to make up our minds in November.

At this point we have no idea!

Blogville Jobs

In a world far away and far more pleasant then the real world, Hailey and Zaphod earn their keep (and I can retire!)

Hailey:
Hailey is the head of the jail. It is her job to organize the arrival of the criminals (mainly squirrels and the occasional cat) and make sure they are safely housed. As an excellent escape artist (not that we talk about her own jail breaks) she is well suited to make sure no one escapes. She works with the cops in any manner needed.

The jail

The cuffs Hailey thinks are the safest

Cuffs Hailey is sure she could chew

Zaphod
He is the lead detective. It is his job to organize all the other detectives and make sure things are done by the book. He is a fair but thorough detective.

PS: Our lack of commenting over the weekend was not because Lady was super busy, it was more because she became addicted to Downton Abbey (blame NetFlix) . . . . we have visited more than commented.
