Mischief Monday - The Wrong Cat - by Styx

 Hi friends, hi friends,

The most exciting thing happened the other day. So exciting.

It started off not exciting. As mentioned, Lady and Man have wanted to help Lanie. The SPCA would not lend them a trap so they did what any sane person would do, they asked Amazon to bring them one.

They decided to test it, and guess what, I got to be the one to test it! I did not like it and they didn't keep me in it long and I did not fully cooperate because I didn't set it off.

I did make them think it would work, so they set it up outside. They put it in a place they did not think any creature but a cat and maybe a raccoon could get it.

Sunday night around 8:30, Lady looked out, and said "Man, we have a skunk."

Yep, the skunk was smarter than the people and got itself caught.

I will keep this part short, but I am happy to report the Lady and Man were able to cover the cage, move the cage, open the cage, and the skunk ran away without spraying anyone.

For the record, Lady would have been happy to keep the skunk if it wasn't smelly. But we know he or shee is happier in the wild.

That was a very big adventure.

Tomorrow Tigris will continue our story.

Nature Friday - Nature TV by Styxy

 Hi friends, hi friends,

I had the best episode of Nature TV on the weekend. Let me tell you about it.

First there were the deer.

Then there was Callie's cat Cinder hunting

Cinder walked away with his prize.

Now we do love all creatures here - Lady and Man were glad this mouse didn't get into our house. We have had to Uber 3 so far this year, and it hasn't been cold.

I hope you enjoyed this episode of Nature TV, sponsored by Rosy and Sunny.

Your pal and host, Styxy

Tuesdays with Tigris - Still Not My Thing

 Dear reader,

Styx mentioned some of the new things Lady got recently from an online auction. One of the things she got was a gently used puzzle. This is supposed to be a very easy one.

I did more than I usually do. I looked at it, I smelt the treats, but nope, I refused to participate. Queens don't work for treats.

Styxy doesn't seem to hate it.

Mischief Monday - Ooops, Wrong Friend

 Hi friends, hi friends,

My friend Jack-O-Lanie has been around a lot, I have so much to tell you about her. Sometimes she comes and rubs up against the door when I am standing there. Lady and Man have tried to encourage her to come in, but she is not having anything to do with that. Lady was talking to Callie's people, and they call her Simone, and they have been feeding her for like a year. They have not seen her since she started hanging out with me.  So Lady and Man have kind of stolen their outdoor cat.

It was recently Prime day - look what I got!

Lady looked into a program at the SPCA that let's you borrow a trap, and for a small fee with vet feral cats and you can release them. The SPCA said Lanie doesn't qualify, and wouldn't lend Man a trap so Lady and Man could just do this and take her to our vet. So Lady and Man have ordered a trap. We will keep you posted on how this plays out. Lady and Man have to talk to our vet on Monday about how they may get her in etc. If she can't be an indoor cat, she should at least be spayed and given shots etc.  Then Lady and Man will look at getting her an outdoor enclosure.

The SPCA also told Lady to not feed outdoor cats, because she could start a colony. Lady laughed because she has no problem being a crazy cat Lady.

At any rate, they have had to stop feeding her at the door because the wrong friend found the food.  I was the one who told my people we had the wrong visiter.

We had to let him eat before moving it.

Don't worry, no one was sprayed and Lady refilled and put Lanie's food up high.

That is the mischief going on here.

your pal, Styxy, friend to all

Nature Friday - With Tigris

 Dear reader,

I decided it was my turn to do a nature Friday. Styx acts like he is the only one who cares about nature. I care too. I just am don't go as crazy about it. If we are honest, I am probably going to be a better hunter.

Anyways, it is autumn. The days are getting short, meaning you really have to enjoy the sun puddles while they are out.

Here are some pictures Lady took on Thanskgiving.

Thanks to some dogs (Rosy and Sunny) for hosting this event.
