Trouble Tuesday - by Phod

It seems Precious has bounced under this chair and is near the very scary broom.

My people are being of no help, they are saying "it is ok Phod, you can get it."
But it is beside the very scary broom.

I will get a little closer. Please hop out Precious.

Fine, I will be the brave hero and save my Precious from the broom!

Mischief Monday - Precious

Dear Pals,

Sometimes when I go out with the Lady and Precious, she doesn't throw Precious right away (talk about mischief) and I have to play alone with it.

Sometimes Precious really likes to roll away.

The other day she rolled off the driveway, down into the septic field. I had to race down the stairs to get it. Don't worry, I found it.

At least when we are outside, Lee doesn't got after Precious (the same cannot be said for inside).

Do your toys ever cause mischief?

Your pal Phod

Trouble on a Tuesday - Poor Precious - by Phod

As mentioned yesterday, we had a house full on the weekend. It was tiring and exhausting, but I think poor Precious suffered the most.

First, the little boy, human cousin Troy was not very good at throwing Precious.

Even worse, a few times Emma got Precious.

Of course, I was the gentleman and shared, but I was glad when they left and I had people to throw properly and I had Precious all to myself!

What Do You Mean It's Too Dirty?

Can you spot the muddy Precious ball?

Hey Man, Wanna throw Precious?

What do you mean it's too dirty?

Look, I will still put it in my mouth!

Happy Birthday to our Aunt C. We hope you have a great one!

I Don't Have A Problem - By Phod

Falling asleep holding my Precious

My people think I have a problem. They think I am too obsessed with my house Precious. Yes, I like to keep it near me most of the time. Yes, if I can't find it/remember where I put it/the Man thinks it is funny to hide it, I get worried and won't stop searching until I find it. I think this is just taking care of thing I love.

Here are some special moments I spent with Precious last week.

On the couch while watching TV
I wanted to play fetch with it while Lady was in the bath

While supervising Lady working at home
While Lady did yoga
While I was sleeping on the couch
This is how I know it isn't a problem. I got too hot on the couch and moved to the other couch and left Precious and Hailey got into my spot and I was totally fine with her sleeping with it. Lady says it is just because I was tired and forgot. But I disagree.

Emma arrives tomorrow for her 6 month stay. I really hope my peeps will let me keep it with me until spring.

Helping Him Cope

In the winter, Precious (aka Phod's ball) goes away (it is too easily lost in the snow and some of us have a really hard time coming inside if we can't find it, and that can be dangerous) and is replaced by a chuck disc. We usually go through two discs a season as to show he doesn't love this replacement but it is better then no fetch, Phod chews holes in it.

As we have mentioned, it has been really, really cold here (as it has been in many places). This means our time outside is very short and chuck has been getting only 2 or 3 throws before cold feet bring us in. Phod has seemed a little depressed about not having as much time outside. On New Year's Eve, the Man brought one of his Precious' in. You can't see from the picture but that is the first Precious. We know this as it is the only one he chewed a big hole in.  They played some fetch (more like soccer then high throws) in the house. He was so excited he hardly let it out of his sight for the first night. He didn't know what to do with it when dinner was given. If he could have, he would have eaten with it in his mouth.

We are going to let him keep it for now. It may have to go away when Cousin Emma arrives next week. We hope this helps him with his winter blues.

Wordless Wednesday - Eye On The Prize

Sorry many of you may have seen this over the weekend because even though it was scheduled to appear on Wednesday - Blogger kept publishing it. I think it was a gremlin!

Speedy Saturday

It's a bird, it's a plane, no it is a Phod chasing Precious!

He looks so beautiful and happy when he is running!

Hey Man, I seem to have a problem.

Mischief Monday - Not A Real Precious

As regular readers know, Phod is completely in love/addicted to his ball Precious. If you look in the header you can see Precious is featured. In the winter because Precious easily gets lost in the snow (and words cannot express how stressful that is for our boy), we switch to a Chuck frisbee. Phod does tolerate this, because some form of fetch is better than no fetch, but he shows his displeasure by destroying it.

This picture was taken of Chuck this weekend. The flying squirrel was this year's, but if you look in the picture you can see previous discs. It is now in the garbage, along with all the other destroyed discs. (I have been meaning to pick them up for some time, but usually am in the garage with the dogs or with full hands).

It may be a good thing that it is someone's birthday this coming weekend, because winter is still here, and while Precious has returned for some time in the driveway, I feel we still have some Chuck days ahead.

Speaking of winter, and maybe the end of it, be sure to enter our When Will The Snow Be Gone contest. You can find out the details HERE. We have 11 entries so far, so there are still lots of days between April 1st and June 1st to pick!

Where Was It?

As you may remember, we were on Precious 5. Phod had found 2 of the 5, including Precious One that has a hole in it. We know 2 are under the deck and he can't get them.

We had no idea where the third missing Precious was, but we are happy to say it is back. Phod was out playing in the yard as we were stacking wood. He kept dropping his ball in the way, trying to get us to throw it. I took it away. He brought me the second, as the garage was open and he could get it, and I did the same thing. A little while later, he showed up with the missing ball. As the Man and I were busy with the wood, we have no idea where he found it. We were so proud of him for figuring that out.

Now Phod has the 3 balls. He likes them to be in the basket. He likes to pick which one he takes out. He never picks Precious One with the hole, but he checks several times a day to see that it is still there. I swear, he is counting them!

This is an older picture of Phod but is shows how happy this Precious makes him!
