Nature Friday - With Tigris

 Dear reader,

I decided it was my turn to do a nature Friday. Styx acts like he is the only one who cares about nature. I care too. I just am don't go as crazy about it. If we are honest, I am probably going to be a better hunter.

Anyways, it is autumn. The days are getting short, meaning you really have to enjoy the sun puddles while they are out.

Here are some pictures Lady took on Thanskgiving.

Nature Friday - Excitement From The Window - by Styx

 Hi friends, hi friends,

There has been so much nature at my windows. Lady was worried I may not be getting enough stimulation because she has had a very busy work month, and not been doing as much play time, but don't worry, your pal Styxy is getting a lot of activity, even if it is from his window!

I was just a little jealous this week seeing the neighbour cats chasing chipmunks, climbing trees and chasing the turkeys.

Then Lady told me that they had a bat encounter recently and all had to go get updated rabies shots, and I thought, maybe inside is a little better. (The bat was on their deck during the day, that was what was the most concerning).

There have been deer around too. Lady took these on a walk.

And while I, Styxy think the wildlife is the most exciting, Lady has convinced me to share some pictures of pretty autumn colours. So here is boring nature.

This is the tree Angels Lee and Phod posed at

I hope you enjoyed some of the fall. Now back to my window, I don't want to miss anything.

Mischief Monday - Welcome Autumn or Not - by Styx

 Hi pals, hi pals,

Welcome to Autumn, it starts here today. It starts at 2:19pm today. That is during my afternoon nap. Styxy needs to have his afternoon nap because he is so busy guarding.

Now so far there are two things I don't like about Autumn here. First,  because it gets cold at night (we had frost, it was close to freezing), my window is not always open.

Second, is Lady tricked me into paying the hat tax.

It started off all nice, licky treat and sitting on the couch.

Acceptable fall picture

Then it went down hill fast.

Not the Autumn Hat Tax!

This week we are going to share some of the pictures Lady took.

We hope you enjoy the tribute to Autumn more than your pal Styxy liked making it.

your pal Styxy, who is not going to give Lady any extra love

FFF Nature Friday - Autumn

It is an exciting day, it is Aunty-Yam's FFF and Rosy and Sunny's Nature Friday.

We will start with some nature. While the leaves are long gone, you may have noticed Lady posted a lot fewer this year. She didn't think it was as pretty as some years. The colours were more brown. Someone told her it was because we had too much rain.

Now our FFF - from an autumn morning

The sky glows in pink

The cool air smells of decay

The days are too short

Fall Fun? By Phod

 Dear pals,

I was minding my own business having a good sniff in the leaves when the Man got this idea.

He thought it would be funny to kick some leaves at me.

Do you think this was fun?

you pal Phod who didn't appreciated having his sniffing disturbed.

FFF and Nature Friday - The Difference of a Few Days

It is that very special day of the week when Aunty-Yam's FFF and Rosy and Sunny's Nature Friday coverage.

We are sticking with our theme of autumn as we see that white stuff we are pretending is not a thing is not in the forecast in the coming days.

October 14

October 19

We must admit we were surprised,

how quickly autumn has arrived.

Our posing tree started green,

rapidly red then yellow were seen.

The biggest change happened in five days,

soon all the leaves will be gone away,

But we will have these pictures you see,

to remember this autumn with Phod and Lee.

Nature Friday - Autumn Week 4

Thanks to our great pals Rosy and Sunny for hosting Nature Friday.

We have been looking at the changes in colours. The following are pictures taken over the past 4 Saturdays.

Week 1

Week 2

Week 3

Week 4

To compare how the warm October and other weather events of this year have impacted the colours, we compare the above to the same time last year.
