Hi pals, it is Assistant Professor Phod, here to share some yoga tips.
Savasana, also known as final relaxation or the corpse pose, is very important. It can calm the nervous system and help the digestive and immune systems. It can reduce stress (which is really important during this crazy time). It can lower blood pressures, it is good for your health.
After assisting my Lady with her yoga practice as well as developing my own, I have a few variations I find to be very relaxing and beneficial.
I call this one - cool body, warm head, easy to supervise Lady if need be.
oooh we love that pawsitions... da nelly preferes da squawking frog pawsition the most while I prefer the go away pesky human contortion ...specially when that pesky human is our dad..

ReplyDeleteOMD, Phod, my angel Jade used love her Doga... and you have shown me two pawsitions that she never accomplished! Hoorah for that. Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
You do look pretty zoned out, Phod. Mom sometimes does savasana after she climbs into bed at night to help her get to sleep. It works!
ReplyDeleteOMD, those are some advanced techniques!
ReplyDeleteI had a big boy love to do your first one but I have a rug by the front door and tile for my body. It's one of my favorite yoga positions. These days my favorite position is the one that mama calls dead dog where I lay on my side and put all four legs straight out and my head straight out and I lay really still and I don't move. I also have one where I scrunch my body in between the sofa and the ottoman in a little tiny space that's really too small
ReplyDeleteYou are doing a great job helping your Lady, Phod. We can often be found in the "out for the count" pose.
ReplyDeleteThat last pose looks like a totally loved doggie pose. Secure , happy, loved and relaxed.
ReplyDeleteDilly says that dogs invented yoga.
ReplyDeleteI go for the legs in the air 'Upside Down Dog' pose.
ReplyDeleteGail says that lady has a cool yoga mat.
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
My favorite pose is any with you in it Prof. Phod
ReplyDeleteTell Lady well done on the new 'do'!
Hugs Cecilia
Very well done, Phod. We think Timber is working on one where he keeps trying to disappear:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
Looks like you've got the best pose down pat.
ReplyDeleteMy best chuckle, after a long day at work. Thank you, Professor Phod!
ReplyDeleteYou're really good at that pose, Phod. My favorite is what I call the "pretzel" pose. ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteThe one don't make my joint crack
ReplyDeleteYou sure are a helpful doggie, Phod! I wonder what the humans would do if they didn't have doggies like us to keep them calm these days?
ReplyDeleteOh, those are FABulous poses Phod! I am sure the Lady really appreciates your help with her yoga! I am partial to the corpse pose, or the "wave them like you just don't care" pose of layin' on your back with your front paws in the aire!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
This Savasana pose will always be my favorite. Mom's too!
ReplyDeleteLove and licks,
