For those not on Facebook, Phod has been suffering an ear infection this week. Phod is happy to report that his ear has cleared up, he is not itching it, and the cone of shame is now a thing of the past . . . for now! He loves to make snow angels in the snow, so we are wondering if that is what caused it or if it is a new treat. He is back on his Reactine and we will monitor him more closely.
This is the sad picture of him I posted on Facebook. I had to leave him in the cone Monday and he cried when I left. It broke my heart a little.
We'll send our JuneyBug over to give Phod the expert ear treatment he is giving to Dougie Dog today at Zoolatry ... it works like magic!!!
ReplyDeleteyay!! that are super news... and we hope you will find the reason for the infection and you can chase it away in advance then...

Oh noes!!!! Dude, I hopes yours clears up real soon. Mine flared up too, butts luckily Ma has a HUUUGE bottle of medicine drops, so she was able to catch it early, and it's okays. I can SO empathize Phod. Sendin' lots of POTP and healin' vibes and don't forgets...that cone makes a FABulous megaphone!
ReplyDeleteKisses,

Oh Phod, thank goodness you are cone-free.
ReplyDeleteLet's hope it stays that way.
Poor Phoddy!! Do I remember you saying Phod was chewing his paw? Arty licks his back paws, and then scrathes his ears...the result is an ear infection. Poor thing has to wear the cone all night long so he will stop the licky/scratchy loop....The struggle is real.
ReplyDeleteWe are SO glad that Phod is feeling better and does not have to wear that cone anymore. He looked so very SAD in that photo. Here's hoping that the ear problems are a thing of the past!
ReplyDeleteWishing you a speedy recovery
ReplyDeleteHe does look very forlorn in that cone of shame. . . our Mama's heart would break too :( Glad to hear he is feeling better now :)

Poor Phod! I am glad he feels better. My heart broke when I saw kozmo in his, but I had to laugh though - Koz's made him look like a flower.
