Dear pals,
We have missed some nature Friday posts (sorry hosts Rosy and Sunny) because to be honest, without dogs, Lady doesn't go out as much in this dark, cold weather. This is a work in progress for her. She has all the warm clothes, she just needs the motivation.
I digress, I on the other hand have been enjoying the view at the bird window. Lady has been doing a better job at filling the feeders and I spend many an hour on her desk observing.
Lady was having virtual coffee with a friend recently, before she went out to fill the feeders, and my nemesis the black squirrel, came right up to the window.
Lady was slow grabbing her phone, but if you look carefully in the left corner, you can see a piece of him. I think he was coming to complain about the service at the feeders.
Styx

next time you take the photo when the black nemesis shows up... you are faster than your lady we bet
ReplyDeleteyou have amazing nature outside your window, do a little watching with Styx and grab a few nature shots

ReplyDeleteMy word, that squirrel has no fear nor shame! Did you strike up conversation? Hugs and whiskeries YAM-aunty xxx
Those squirrels are such hogs at the bird feeders and the food isn't even for them! You have a front row seat, Styx!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty outdoor scene you have Styx, we bet the birdies love all food your Lady puts out for them!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Rosy and Sunny
What a great spot you have to watch the activity at the feeders, Styx. Too bad that pesky squirrel was there, but I think seeing you scared him away.
ReplyDeleteI want a black squirrel. There are some down the road, but never here.
ReplyDeleteYour home is surrounded by the beauty of nature ... so very blessed by it all, in all seasons.
ReplyDeleteStyx...thank goodness you are on patrol taking up the slack that lady has created...MOL BOL LOL
ReplyDeleteI am poking lady's cage 'cause I recall all the very very dark and snowy days she was out with your angel k9's Lee and Phod...Lee was an escape artist
Hugs cecilia
Those squirrels can be pushy when they want to be fed.
ReplyDeleteWe once had a neighbour who when she opened her door to go outside was acosted by a squirrel demanding a ransom...of peanuts! Here we have the big grey brown and black guys as well as the red squirrels who are a lot meaner, and destructive; though a lot smaller make up for it with their feistiness.
ReplyDeleteBut for kitties they sure are entertaining. Ours used to sit at the window chattering loudly and spitting all over the glass in their excitement!
