Mischief Monday - The Barrier - by Tigris

Dear reader,

My servant  Lady has asked me to tell you all she is aiming for 3-4 posts a week right now on her rebrand.  It is going to depend on life and us etc. etc. We are here to stay. Thanks to Ms Ann for the rebrand.

Lady disturbed my wild turkey viewing for a picture!

Now to the mischief. As you may have read, I had a big fall a few weeks ago. I am back to 100% now, thanks for your concern.

Lady and Man were terrified it would happen again and had no idea what to do. It was Aunty-Yam's to look for bird spikes. Lady would have never thought of this. Lady ordered it (picking brown to match as best she could). Lady and Man zipped tied it on the banister. This way the banister isn't damaged and they can be easily removed if needed.

The spot I climbed to jump to that window

The view from Lady's office

Lady says it is a new trend. The medieval castle look.  She hopes it is more temporary, but has put our safety above ascetics.

This has stopped us from climbing the banister and falling but has not stopped Styx from knocking all the things off other shelves. Lady and Man really need to get on this cat proofing.

  2. It's good to hear those spikes are working so far. You two will keep challenging the Lady and Man just like Hailey and Zaphod before you. BOL!

Those mean business! Glad to have been of assistance. Also happy you didn't suffer much from that first fall, Tigris. The mind boggles... hugs and whiskeries, YAM-aunty xxx

  6. I (finally) got the chance to catch up! AND I love the re-brand! I am glad you chose to keep the old. I did not and I have wished I did not start over. I love the bird spikes! I am so happy that the house heredoes not have an "upstairs". There was one in the condo in Vancouver and Marvelous did have a fall. I shall try to get around more often! Keep being AWESOME! Barb

  8. You remind me of Ms. G's Granddaughter's cat, Ruth(less), she is a banister afficionado, too. Fortunately, she's never fallen.

  9. Wow, those are sharp daggers for those way too ambitious paws! Lets hjope they don't try to maneuver through them! Ouch! What a good idea!
We angel meezers loved to test the gravitational pull on many things...including a boom box up on a very high bookshelf...which nearly fell on our unfurbro's head when he wasn't quite 2...that was WAY back before us in 1992... Our motto was 'if it moves it can be pushed'!

Have fun with your Rivers and all the nuances of cat proofing.
