Thanks Rosy for hosting this event.
As regular readers will know, Lady is obsessed with her sunflowers. They are one of her joy bringers.
This is her second year growing them (and now she will grow them forever as they are so easy). However, they have had a rough summer. You see, August was the rainiest August since 1893. Even last weekend, we had a lot of storms with intense rain. The sunflowers have not done great in this rain. Some have snapped, some have just been uprooted. Man and Lady have done their best to save what they can. Those they couldn't, Lady cut and brought inside so she can at least enjoy them.

They are such beautiful and cheerful flowers! The birds will be enjoying the sunflower seeds as they come.

We love sunflowers! But we had to stop planting them because the Evil Squirrel Cartel would cut them down and eat them.
ReplyDeleteYour sunflowers are beautiful! It's too bad mother nature has done her best to knock them down.
ReplyDeleteDear cousin, hurray for flowers! Double-hurray for compost! Yum!
