We have our peeps well trained. On the rare occasion they both leave the house, we get a greenie as they leave.
We sit very well to wait for them to get ready to go.
Look we are sitting so cutely! |
Hurry up, waiting is too hard! It looks so good! |
You aren't ready yet? |
we get a treat too when they leave our crib... and the good thing is that they often come back to pick something they have forgotten... then we get another treat when they leave again...

ReplyDeleteAngel Jade was very good with our ritual - she would see my bag getting organised so would go lie on her mat. I would say 'good girl guarding house' and that would be us. THEN on my return, apart from hugs and kisses and outside time, THAT is when the treat would come! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
you both are so good at Attention! waiting mode. When we put on our clothes, he knows the leaving the house clothes, Beau gets on the sofa, lays his head down and looks sad, our ritual is to say bye bye we will be right back from me and Bob says bye bye back soon. that means we are getting in the car and leaving as opposed to going out in the front yard to work. he gets no treats. he is gaining weight from not playing with the ornange thing that I can see in 2 of your photos.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have Greenies but mom says that I eat them too fast and don't get any benefits from them at all.
ReplyDeleteTho a "cat", June's routine is similar! She doesn't get any treats right now (is on a diet!) except when I am going out and will be gone for awhile, and she'll get Little Bites, freeze dried chicken, for cats & dogs, no calories they say (?) ... and when I come home, her treat is my leaving the door open for a short time, so she can run out and explore the hallway ... it has now become our "thing" and a regular pattern.
ReplyDeleteWe don't have a leaving ritual, but we do get a treat when they come home. That is the best time isn't it?
ReplyDeleteFirst of all well done with leaving the new trash can alone...
ReplyDeleteLady might have found a winner.
I love your leaving and coming home ritual.
Truth be told Angel Madi probably cheered when I left. LOL
Hugs Cecilia
No leaving ritual here...except sometimes for Mama trying to sneak out of the house so Jakey doesn't get upset BOL!

No leaving rituals here. I used to go to the door to say goodbye, but these days I mostly can't be bothered... (although I might if I thought a greenie was involved).
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
We don't have a leaving routine. Chester always knows when I'm going to work because I have the white uniform pants on. He gives me the cold shoulder for it. But Dad is retired and hardly ever goes anywhere, so Chester is rarely alone.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun routine!
ReplyDeleteNow that's a 'pawsome' ritual!
ReplyDeleteOurs is on the reverse end, we get treats as I come home!
ReplyDeleteMom always leaves me 2 little treats on my chair and 2 more on the bathroom floor. I gobble the ones on the chair first, and by the time she is closing the door, I am flying through the air on my way to the bathroom. Yum. #Kbye
