Mischief Monday - Christmas Part 1

Well, no one will be surprised when we say Covid causes mischief this holiday. See Grammie and the Big Guy were going to come but then they got dose 3, and weren't up for it. Saving lives, gave them the opportunity to have a quiet Christmas. When Lady found out,  she drove her baked goods and gifts so they would have them. She also did some errands to they could stay home and rest.

In spite of the growing cases (our province is about 10 000 new ones a day), Uncle Chris and Emma came.  Mostly the people ate and played games. That is what they do over holidays.

We know were good puppies because we got gifts. We got yummy cookies not pictures.

Uncle Chris brought these.

Once Phod got over the crinkling sound they make, he was a little scared, we liked them.

Santa brought us the following:

In spite the last minute changes, it was a good Christmas.

  1. Your day sounds good to us, even if some could not come for a visit, beau said to tell you he got nothing, his were all given before Christmas and to tell you all 4 of his orange thangs are oversized. he doesn't get to chase them but he likes to squeeze them and make them make popping noises..

  2. Merry belated Christmas to you and your Humans. I am glad you had a fun, if altered, day. My family in Williamsburg, Ont. had to cancel plans for guests. They didn't even put up a tree this year. I know Lady keeps track, like I do: so for us it will be 657 days on January 1. Here's wishing you and all of us a better, safer 2022.

PS we had a picnic yesterday with M&G so good to see them. We met at a park 1/2 between our house and theirs.

  7. What excellent gifts you guys got! Cinnamon did not get toys this year. She did get a 1 foot bully stick that she has been chewing though and a package of chicken jerky that us cats think is pretty terrific too! Our cousin Jewel got a HUMONGUS precious! A Chuck-it orange ball that is HUGE! She is so happy! Our Mom had a reaction to the 3rd jab and is finally starting to feel like a human again. We hope you guys are not as cold as we are. Happy howldays Marv

  11. So pleased you guys had a good Christmas, despite all the Covid complications. On the way back from the park this morning we ran in to a very stressed neighbour, from whom poured forth a lengthy litany of woes about positive PCR tests, ruined travel plans, family rows etc. etc. and Gail suddenly felt very content with her week spent going for relaxing walks with friends and dogs!
