The New Rug - by Phod

 Dear pals,

Lady upset my life by moving things around last week. You see, she used her Christmas money from Grammie and the Big Guy to buy a Ruggable rug for the front door aka my guard station. I over heard her say she was very excited to have a washable rug for this space, because my being on it so much, makes it stinky. I can't imagine I would be making a rug or mat stinky.

It took me a couple days, but I did decide it was an acceptable place to sit and monitor the street. I do not take change well in my old age.

Lady and Man picked one of the rugs from their Star Wars Collection.

See if you look close, you can see the X-wing fighter. If you aren't a huge fan, you may just see a cool pattern and that is ok too!

I hope you enjoyed the rug, I must get back to my observation post.

Mischief Monday - I Just Wanted To Sleep - by Lee

Dear pals,

Last week we had a lot of extreme cold (like -26C/-15F, and they are calling for as cold as -38C/-36F tomorrow). This meant besides lounging by the fire, there was a lot of snuggling to do.

Imagine how I felt one day when Lady woke me up, from a perfectly good nap, to take some us-ies. She said I was being too cute.

I can't wait for it to be too hot to cuddle again!

Nature Friday - A Special Walk - by Phod

 Dear pals,

On the last day of 2021 (which if you ask me was a great year because my peeps were home almost all the time), at lunch Man took Lee for a walk, and I got to go on a special walk with my Lady.

Come with me and I will show you some sights!

The walk was on Calli's bush behind our house. As you can see there are nice snow machine tracks to walk on.

Hailey usually decides what way to go but I got to. The only rule was Lady wanted to stick on a path.

Lady called this spot the snowy arches.

There was a lot of tracks to sniff - deer, likely fox (or could be coyote, we heard something yipping back there earlier in the week) and squirrel. I did a lot of sniffing.

I even sniffed up this bone, which the Lady made me drop and then after taking a picture, threw deep into the woods.

We had a lovely time and I hope we go back soon! (Lady says we will when we can walk in the daylight, she is not going back there in the dark!)

Thanks to Rosy for hosting this hop!

Thankful Thursday - Helping More - by Lee

Besides helping Grammie and Big Guy, I was a big help with the Man and his back stretches.  I provided kisses and may have tried to hump him. He was very thankful for my love and support.

Helping Out - by Lee

Dear pals,

Last week we had a grand adventure. We got up, went for a walk and got into the car and drove to Grammy and the Big Guy's!  (The only problem with this adventure is because Phod gets so car sick, there was no breakfast!)

Taking up more than my share of back seat

Grammie and the Big Guy were feeling better from their vaccines and Lady had said if the weather was nice (it is an 84 km/52 mi drive) she would come and help them with some things around the house.

The Man spent the day helping the Big Guy install smart switches. These are light switches that are Alexa enabled and you can tell them to turn on and off. I was a great supervisor.

While the Men were doing that, Lady and Grammie took on the basement. It was the last frontier since they moved. There were boxes that hadn't even been opened yet. While they didn't go through every box, they got them organized, they got ride of 4 bags of garbage, and they found some things Grammie had been looking for.

Phod found all of this a little scary. The power being off, the Lady moving things, the people not being on the same floor.

Me, I took it all in stride and was a great supervisor!
