Happy Family and Anipal Appreciation Day!

Today we wish everyone a Happy Family Day!

Zaphod, Lady and Hailey - in a corner of the games room with some of Man's scary stuff. Shortly after this picture was taken Hailey threw up.

We are also joining Bacon in Anipal Appreciation Day and sending our love to all our online pals and fellow bloggers.  Thank you all for making our life a little brighter!

Valentine's Day Parade

Today and this day of love we join Ernie and Beachnut and Sheldon's Valentine's Day Parade.

Hailey and her beau Easy danced the parade away! The energy these lovebirds have is amazing.

Keeping a close eye on these two is Zaphod. Looks like someone has snuck him a kiss!

Happy Valentine's Day!
May your day be filled with extra love!

See Beautiful - Travel

Today we step outside our normal topic, life with my dogs, to talk about life on the high seas.  I am blessed with a life that allows me to travel a lot. Because of the uncertainty of life, we don't want to wait until retirement to travel. We may not be able to by then. So we are balancing our books and my guilt about leaving the dogs and doing as much as we can while we can!

Our latest trip took us away from winter (which quite frankly has been very mild this year) to the Caribbean. We have developed a love for cruising so we thought we would try out a brand new ship, the Norwegian Escape. The ship started sailing in November. It was the biggest we had been on, with nearly 5000 passengers. I admit I prefer the smaller ships with 2400 or so people. Uncle Chris and 2 of our friends joined us.  Our ports were Miami, St. Thomas, US British Islands, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, and Nassau Bahamas.

Here is some of the beauty we saw:

The ship had a rope course and water slides. Lady was too scared to try them. Man enjoyed.

Run Free Barley

It is with heavy hearts we share the news that Grammie and the Big Guy (aka Lady's parents) sweet boy Barley, died yesterday. Barley was diagnosed with abdominal cancer in the late fall of 2015. He was 8 years old.

Barley came to live with my parents through a lab rescue. He was the product of divorce, apparently the new girlfriend didn't like dogs. He was a super sweet cuddly boy, who thought he was a lap dog, loved to drag his blanket around, and loved to tease his co-dog Tendra with a chew. He loved chase, the beach, and swimming. His tragic flaw - he was super, super drool-y, which always added a little gross to the cuddles. He was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Run free Barman, Run free.

Something New

We were in the house for about 12 hours before we could get the dogs. During that time, we hung up the new mask to go with our collection. (We bring back a mask or other piece of art on our travels).

Phod went over, stood up and smelt it.  The Man brought it down for the dogs to look at. They were far less interested when they saw it up close!
