Hari OMI used to grow these in OZ - and the red/pink variety. It's called - wait for it - 'shrimp plant'! (Justicia brandageeana.) I love them. YAM xx

I think that's shrimp plant. They are very interesting looking indeed.
We knew that Yam would know what that plant was. It does look like an animal.
I knew YAM would know...and funny, I thought it looked like an underwater critter, the "nudibranch". Very cool!!!
