Sepia Saturday - Made by Mollie

For those of you who asked yesterday -  Hailey saw a vet in Lewis Center Ohio (after she was rescued). So I assume she is from around that area. From reading over her vet papers I know she was and her siblings were taken from their mom at 3 weeks. I believe they were in a high kill shelter and were rescued from there. The first vet papers we have are from when the litter was about 8 weeks old. Hailey was about 4.2 lbs. The report indicates all the puppies were a little sick and all ate too fast (I guess some things never change). Hailey move to Canada when she was about 4 months old because homes couldn't be found for them in Ohio.  We adopted her when she was about 8 months old, so she bounced around in foster care a little.

Recently Mollie and Alfie from http://www.molliesdogtreats.co.uk generously hosted a fundraising auction to raise money for Mabel's family (from http://creekhiker.blogspot.co.uk) pay for vet and funeral costs.

I like a good auction, so was thrilled to participate.  I was more thrilled then Hailey when our special handmade "necklace" arrived this week.

And to show off the colours - here it is not in sepia!

Hailey looks "startled" not because of the necklace, but because I did the photo shoot during a thunderstorm!

Hope all our American friends had a lovely Independence Day. We look forward to reading all your adventures.

We are glad that you don't need fur us to Pee in Lady's shoes... our Pee Shooters were getting sort of FULL... think we will go Fire them off now... that will be a relief. Just sayin.

  10. Dear Lee,

That is a very nice necklace. It looks soft and not-scratchy, which is a good thing on thin fur like you and Ojo have! You look very nice in your new accessory!
