Nature Friday - November Rain

Thanks to Rosy and Sunny for hosting this event.

Lady took Monday off this week, for no reason other than she desperately just needed a day off to do whatever she liked.  Given the surprise delivery of our wood Sunday, the timing could not have been better.

While Sunday was a beautiful November day, Monday brought us November rain. But this did not stop us from taking a hike in Callie's sugar bush.  What almost stopped us was that Lady fell before we even got to the bush.  Rain on snow can make ice. Fortunately, she wasn't hurt and we were able to continue on.

As you can see the end of autumn is truly here and we start to prepare for winter.

The forecast has some significant snow coming soon, it may start to look more like winter in these final autumn days.

  2. so happy Lady was not hurt, we are way to old here in our house to risk a fall. old bones don't bounce, they shatter. I know Phod is happy with the snow. Glad you could take a day off.

  3. Well thank goodness Lady did not hurt herself when she fell. Two-leggers have to be so careful not to topple over on the ice. There are distinct advantages to the four legs design.

Yeah, that rain/snow combo can be treacherous - glad there were no major repercussions from the tumble of the Lady. Winter is well and truly biting in over the Hutch, too. Hey ho and on we go! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx

  7. Sorry to hear Lady took a tumble but it was nice of her to soldier on with the walk anyway. We're getting rain for the next few days, but we wish it was all snow.

  8. What a beautiful late Fall hike, we are glad Lady didn't hurt herself on her tumble.
Looks like that wood came just in time....Hopefully LAdy didn't have to help stack it on her day off.

  9. The is nothing more slippery than snow on ice, especially when you can't see the ice.
