Lady was going through her camera roll and came across these pictures from New Years she had not shared. At the SafePet Ottawa gala, Lady had purchased a big basket of the dog treats. In it was puppy champaign, which she saved for New Years. Lady didn't take a picture of the back, but it was a fish blend.
Let's be honest, it looks a little like pee |
Lee got brave and did drink a little. Lady kept it out for a bit and she went back to it a couple times, but you could tell she didn't love it. As you all know, Lee loves most food, so this was very unexpected!
Phod, who is in general very picky, would not even try this. Lady put some on food, on her fingers etc. but he would only sniff it.
Puppy champaign is clearly not a treat we enjoy, but Lady is glad we got to try it. Do you like champaign?
I'm not sure if I would like it... but the nelly likes everything he even said not no to the awful cold tea the mama made yesterday ;O)
ReplyDeletethis is news to me, never heard of it before today.. I think Hailey and Phod made the right decision..
ReplyDeleteI've never had champagne, but I had puppy ale for Christmas and it was tasty!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you it kinda looked like Mountain Dew which to me looks like pp so don't blame you for not liking it. I've had champagne one time it tickled by nose and made me sneeze.

I've had doggie beer but never doggie champagne. A fishy blend champagne sounds good to me!
ReplyDeleteI have no idea if I would like that or not. Maybe if it was chicken broth ...
ReplyDeleteToo bad you didn't like the champagne. It did have a funny color. Maybe it would have been better mixed with some kibble?
ReplyDeleteIt sure does look like pee to us. We have never had champagne, but there is always a first for anything:)

Dog Perignon can be hit or miss...for pups and peeps. I think I prefer beer over it.
ReplyDeleteUgh, my dogs would not touch this :-)

ReplyDelete*hic!*....errr... nope, not a champagnerina... and am note really surprised you aren't either!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
It's new, so I'm not sure I'd like it, either.
ReplyDeleteCammie!
Hmmmm….not like fishy stuff? We probably would have tried it...and eaten it all up.
ReplyDeleteWe aren't fond of it either...We'll take a good ole fashioned bone broth instead!

Dear friends,
ReplyDeleteThis sounds yummy from the description (and I think pee is quite marvelous too!), however it was clearly a FAIL. Maybe it could be used to fertilize plants?
Licks,
Cobi
I go for a lick of da real stuff!
ReplyDeleteNot a big champagne fan, although not sure there a different between cheap or expensive stuff.
