Last week I talked about the struggles to get Zaphod to back up. The Man and I continued to work on it, and while it is still not Phod's favourite trick (he still tries to avoid it and will tell you off) he has greatly improved (as the video below shows). Hailey has improved too and she has really been enjoying training time (for the cookies I think).
Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteBravo! Apaws Apaws! well done! I only work for treats too... seems I'm related with Lee :o)

Great job there and onwards and upwards. Have a tremendous Thursday.

ReplyDeleteWAY TO GO...... Keep it up and you will need to get one of those Beep BEEP BEEEEeeeeeeeeep thingys put on your Collar like Trucks have when they go into Reverse...
ReplyDeleteThey are too cute! Phoenix doesn't really like backing up either! You might want to try lowering your hand a bit and sort of push the treat forwards into their face a bit, usually you can get a few steps back that way. If that doesn't make sense, I'd be happy to video it for you. :D
ReplyDeleteGo Zaphod!!!!
ReplyDeleteSmileys!

ReplyDeleteWell, hes getting there! try that with Bites and he just turns around and walks away, then I get his treat!

Keep it up! Back up was difficult to teach Nola, but now it's one of her favorite tricks and she'll offer it all the time.

Madi your bfff
You gotta do what you gotta do to get treats.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
Good job you two.
ReplyDeleteWay to go! We are working on the same thing... and we're at about the same stage, maybe a little behind where you are. Apparently, it's a great strengthening exercise for the muscles that control the knees.
ReplyDeleteThey look like they are doing great! I'm sure Phod will get more comfortable with it.
ReplyDeleteMonty and Harlow
I taught my two to go back by saying it when they were heading backwards already. I don't know if catching Phod when he is doing it normally and rewarding at that point would help he become more comfortable?!
ReplyDeleteWow! They are doing great!!!
