A few weeks ago we had a a freezing rain storm. Hailey did not like the sound of the ice hitting the roof and the windows. She was visibly upset. While I was working out, she hid between the treadmill and the weight bench. She rarely even comes to this part of the house if/when I am working out. But other than hiding and wanting love, there was no distraction and she stayed fairly calm. She does think the weather is a mischief maker.
As I prepare this post for tomorrow, we are getting different winter precipitation. It is snowing - a lot. They expect about 15-20 cm/6-7 inches of the white stuff. Fortunately this is happening on a Sunday when we can just stay inside!
Oh yuck, freezing rain!?!? I'd hide away from that as well sweetie!

ReplyDeleteThat weather is DEFINITELY a mischief maker, Lee... you did the right thing tucking down and staying close to Lady! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
At least the snow sounds better than that freezing rain. Hope Hailey's feeling better!
ReplyDeleteFreezing rain is the worst! Snow is so much more fun!
ReplyDeleteHailey I have an idea!! Lets book a trip to somewhere sunny and warm with lots of sand!
ReplyDeleteHugs madi your bfff
Perhaps Hailey would like a ThunderShirt to help her stay calm.
ReplyDeleteI have one. We also use lavender & frankincense essential oil to calm the house while listening to calm/meditation or classical music.
It helps us.
No more freezing rain!

Poor Hailey. It's hard being scared of sounds that you don't understand. I hope that you have fun in the snow today. We are wishing for some!!!
ReplyDeletePoor girl! Rain and freezing rain hitting the roof can be scary. Hiding is always a good choice.

Poor Hailey - her ears give away her angst. We got a little snow yesterday and sure would love a bigger storm like you are getting. We will get a bit more tomorrow, so we suppose we should be happy about that too.
ReplyDeleteStay warm.

Oh to get that much snow. Sorry for Miss Hailey, but hope she'll have fun zooming around in the yard.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the snow won't have the same effect on Hailey.
ReplyDeleteI hope Miss Hailey finds the snow more calming.
ReplyDeleteOur new house has a metal roof, and Luke is NOT impressed when the snow and ice come sliding off the roof! I think by the end of the winter he might finally be used to it!

We're sorry to hear that Hailey was not happy with the freezing rain and hope it doesn't happen again.
ReplyDeleteWe know the sound of freezing rain is an ominous sound. It could mean a couple weeks with no power, and trees and branches falling down all over the place. We don't blame Hailey for that. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteCome On Spring!!!! Hang in there Hailey!

I could use some spring
ReplyDeleteFreezing rain is awful. We would not like it either.

Freezing rain is seriously the worst...not only for driving...but for walking as well! We are supposed to be getting a storm on Wednesday...6-12 inches of snow. We sure are used to the snow here in Upstate NY! Hang in there Hailey!
ReplyDeleteIf there is a bright side....at least it will be the weekend...until you have to go to work in it!
