We normally don't really observe our anniversary, but we thought 20 was one to note. We actually both booked the day off to hangout and do stay-cation type things.
Life has changed since our early days in a 2 bedroom apartment with 2 cats and barely 2 pennies to rub together. We spent many an hour dreaming of our future adult life. We are blessed as most of our dreams have come true (except the one where I get a new cat -that is still a dream in progress).

Tomorrow painters coming to paint guest bath, then I expect plumber will come late week to hook up stuff in there.
Remainder of flooring will hopefully be installed next week it is probably a 2 day job. They seem to like to work until 10 or 10:30 pm. I told them early on they cannot work past 5:30 pm at our house. They want to come one day and finish it all!! First day they were here the arrived at 7:30 am at 5;30 pm we told them it was time for our supper. They didn't want to leave.HA HA HA!!

ReplyDeleteBy the way, I was 21 (almost 22) and Mary was 20 (almost 21) when we got married. My mother tried to tell me we were "too young" (even though she and my father were 22 when they tied the knot). 38.5 years later, we're still together. I hope you're as successful.

ReplyDelete30 min from Ottawa is close! We don't go very often to Canada but next time we go I'll let you know! That would be fun to meet up. (We've been to Hull before, which I know is just over the river and in Quebec, yes? And I remember it being a lot of English-speakers there, as well. I'm the same - I only know about 5 words of French too so would also have been nervous about moving there. It's good there are lots of anglophones!)
