As I have mentioned, the deep freeze has raged on for most of January. I wish I had tracked it but most of the month was below -20 C, some days as low as -40C. Because outside time has to be limited when it is that cold, we have been working on tricks inside.
Update: I had videos for this but I tried to install them 2 times and there is an error. I don't have time to figure it out, so I will explain what they do.
Hailey loves her training time. Hailey is very enthusiastic and does her tricks quickly. The problem with her can be getting her to slow down enough to listen as she is too excited.
Rats I couldn't see the videos!!!

OMD that is worse than cold...it is FRIGID...
ReplyDeleteWe like the pawt about the AIR SNAPPING... that tickled us fur some reason.
OMD did you get some of Chef Sasha's Donuts and GROUND HOG PIZZA...??? She has her foodables truck parked right outside the training hall door.. fur all of Blogville's new recruits and their INSTRUCTORS...
Maybe just do high treat/little trick with Phod till he finds it fun? We had issues with Harlow doing jumps in agility, so at home I just threw treats for her in any direction. Eventually we added a bar and now she jumps just fine. BOL - does that make sense?
ReplyDeleteI think I would die in that weather.
Monty and Harlow
Phod you and Hailey might have to hold your training inside...those are some cold temps you are having.

ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
BOL sounds like Phod has a bit of scottie stubbornness in him.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you,
Sully
I hope it warms up! Isn't it funny how different two dogs can be about training? I see big differences in my Duo too!
ReplyDeleteI have that issue with Koda too. He gets very excited very easily. When I can calm him down enough out training is fantastic, but when he gets excited it's hard.
