Today, we are participating in Time Warp Tuesday.
This first picture was taken by the people who rescued Hailey and her siblings from a kill shelter in Ohio. It is one of the few baby pictures we have of her and is very special. We never knew this baby as she was about 9 months old when she came to our house. When I look at that cute little face I wonder why it took her so long to find a forever home. [I don't think about the fact that her foster mom in the Ottawa area said she was one of the most difficult dogs she ever met!]
Look at my chubby little girl with floppy ears. |
This picture was taken a few weeks ago |
For this of you who had trouble finding her in Sunday's post, here she is -
It's called black dog syndrome.....black dogs are the least adopted and rarely if ever are used in commercials or advertising ....but she found you and you found her and it turned out perfectly
ReplyDeleteOMD what a sweet puppy Lee was. Pity you don't have more but at least you have her now and lots of great memories. Sorry about your falls yesterday. it ain't nice that is for sure. Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Where's my comment gone ?????

That was quite the transformation! We kind of agree with Reilly and Denny about her color being one of the reasons she wasn't adopted sooner. Were her litter mates black too? We think that is why Millie wasn't scooped up before we saw her. Our pawrents were definitely color blind and saw the cuteness in Millie and didn't ignore her because of her color.
ReplyDeleteWe really don't understand why people shy away from black dogs...anyway we loved those pictures...She has sure grown into a beautiful girl!!!
ReplyDeletestella rose

YOU are SO lucky to have escaped that horrid fate. WE are very much THRILLED that you DID.
So cute. People shy away from black cats too.
ReplyDeleteShe is gorgeous......as a pup and certainly as an "all grown up" girl! She sure was lucky to be pulled from the kill shelter.....now she's blossomed into a gorgeous and happy girl. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HAILEY!!!!

The good thought is, the right mom came along in the end. Luvs Cat Flap Cavalier. X
black dog syndrome is the same thing that faces black kitties and it is deplorable.
ReplyDeleteShame on that kill shelter in Ohio. Ohio is my state and I say shame on them.
ReplyDeleteYou were and are a cutie! Now stop showing me pictures of snow, I have had enough SNOW.
