While I would have liked to be playing with the dogs all day on Saturday, we had some work to do that was not safe for the dogs to be around. First, I had to mow the lawn. This is a big job. Then we were power washing the deck, getting it ready to be stained. While I am sorry they were sad to be inside, it is the way it had to be!

I could not imagine not helping my MOM mow our big yard. Plus I must save any sticks she might run over.

We feel your pain! Our hoomans power washed the deck the other day and wanted to be out there helping them. They said it was too dangerous! So we agreed that when they pain the deck, we'll be able to help :) We think it will look beautiful with our paw prints all over it.

The pups don't understand maintenance. The deck looks marvelous and it always feels good to have the grass mowed. Phod...hope you worked the situation for an extra treat. There's always that angle.
ReplyDeleteWe hate it too when we are not allowed anywhere the peeps is when they do dangerous chores. We too want to be there with the action unless of course it involves a water hose.

Indeed....they simply don't quite understand why we have to do things that they're left OUT of sometimes (for their own good often!!). Deck will look spectacular when it's done.

ReplyDeleteYeah, we get banished inside sometimes. It is totally UNFAIR! The pups could have snoopervised you to make sure you did everything correctly. No telling what the finished job will look like without their help!
