Thanks to Rosy for hosting this hop!
It is sad, but the autumn colours are quickly fading.
The first picture was taken September 30, the second October 9 and the third, October 15. This year's peak was around Thanksgiving.
Before the colours are completely gone, we thought we would share some more. Lady has kept her word and we have been hiking the sugar bush on the weekends. Our weekday morning walks are in the dark and Lady doesn't feel comfortable being in the bush at that time.
Tolerating waiting for a picture |
In exciting news, Lady was able to track down firewood. It cost a kings ransom, but it is what it is. Lady now regrets it, as it means a lot of stacking, but she is making progress, one wheelbarrow full at a time.

ReplyDeleteLady should think of it as a yoga exercise... and I am envious of your autumnal colours... Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
good Job on the stacking. I know about it from the hurricane tree stacking. we too are waiting until 7:10 to walk and it is still dark, and the traffic at that time is dangerous. we have the time change coming so its about time for Mama to vent about that, but I the Beau, am happy because I want have to wait as long to walk
ReplyDeleteYour autumn colors are just beautiful! Mom remembers stacking wood and it's a lot of work but so worth it when the stack is closer to your back door, especially when there is snow on the ground.
ReplyDeleteLee and Phod...our leaves were just starting to turn when Ian a most unwelcomed visitor blew up a gusty day. Many of the leaves were blown off. Thankfully we still some color.
ReplyDeleteI love that you 2 patiently posed for Lady.
Lady is getting her cardio in with the wood stacking
Hugs Cecilia
You sure have some beautiful fall colors around you. We are at peak right now, but it too will be fading fast.
ReplyDeleteWow!! We love all the beautiful colors..and we're glad you get out on the weekends to enjoy them!
ReplyDeleteMama says she is pretty grateful we don't have a fireplace here....so we don't have to worry about stacking wood!
xoxo,
Rosy
Looks like about 2 tot 3 cords of fire wood.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on and stay safe
Like Millie and Walter say, we're at peak color here in WNY! We're trying to enjoy it as much as we can because we know what comes after that: dreary, cold, gray WNY winter weather. Good luck with stacking that wood!
