One evening last week, we were wandering through the field in the golden hour.
Suddenly Man called to Lady, "put Phod on leash." Lady did. The tall grass had stopped the dogs from seeing the obstacle.
What are we looking at? |
A deer was eating apples from the tree that is across from our house. You can see our house in the pictures. The deer saw us and after a few bites, jumped the fence and walked through our yard to the bush.

ReplyDeleteYou have such wonderfurs neighbours!!! Hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
so glad this turned out well for Phod and the deer, now this is true NATURE! Love it!
ReplyDeleteBummer that the field grasses had to be so tall but it sure looks pretty!
ReplyDeleteDeer can be very sneaky. Every year I wondered why someone always cuts the big leaves off the hosta plants next to the nursing home. This year I finally figured out it was deer that did that!
ReplyDeleteWishin' I was there Lee...such a lovely area you have.

It's good your 'parents' were looking out for everyone.

We see some deer around our house too. Good thing your dad saw it before you did to keep you safe.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing all the hues of the field grasses. Good thing the Man spotted the deer or the pups would have been off and running:)
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I love seeing the deer on our property, and we currently have 3 fawns that we see play together in the evening. None of them have any fear of our dogs or cats, and hardly us - And I wish they did.
ReplyDeleteThe first photo look like Douglas or Red firs.
ReplyDeleteSure don't look smokey there.
Coffee is on and stay safe
