Our protagonist, Miss Hailey Bug, turns into the fearful pup. She starts pacing, panting and scratching at the door to escape.
The Man lets her out of the room.
She continues to pace and carry on, which causes Phod to become anxious.
The Man gets up to be with her to discover she was so scared she had 💩 at the top of the stairs.
The Man spends the next hour or so trying to comfort her (turning lights on, turning music on, blocking all the places she will try and scratch through).
Phod goes back and forth between the peeps and finally sleeps with the Lady on the bed.
Finally, our girl settles with the lights on, the music on, and the Man on the couch.
She was very tired on Sunday.
There are no thunderstorms in the forecast until Wednesday. Natural alternatives are being researched to complement her Prozac.

I apologize for not getting to visit you all as often as I would like. Life is happening and until the flooding/construction is a little bit better I will be losing a lot of my spare time to work.

Lee darling bless your heart. I truly understand your fear of Thunder.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a wee girl my Annie Ma and time there was a storm she made all the grands
gather in the living room and sit quietly until it was over. I think it helped to have company
plus she wanted to know where the grands were.
Oh dear me I feel for you all with the construction saga starting
Hugs HiC

ReplyDeleteHope those thunderstorms don't come back for a long time!
ReplyDeleteWe hope you find a workable solution. Poor Lee. So frightened.

Poor girl. Poop happens sometimes when it's thunderstorm weather. You are not naughty. Hang in there, sweetie!

Poor Hailey! Have you considered using CBD oil? We hear it can help with anxiety, etc. Zoey is taking it along with her prozac.
ReplyDeleteWe're sorry to hear Hailey had such a bad night. Our paws are crossed that you can find something more to help her.
ReplyDeleteNo one likes be scared. Have your mom try swaddling I knew dog they would have to swaddle during a storm and it did help him
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on
A Thundershirt? I'm guessing that you already tried that. I'm so sorry that you are so afraid, Lee. :(
ReplyDeletePoor Hailey!
ReplyDeleteYou poor pup, Hailey. There were stoopid fireworks in the area here last night and thankfully they didn't last long. I was in mom's lap and she was hugging me tight. I hope you can find something that can work for you.
ReplyDeleteOh we are so sorry the thunder scared you.
ReplyDeleteMitzie is the same way. She paces the floor
and barks & shakes. We are not looking forward
to the 4 of July either.
We hope you can find a solution for everyone.
Hope you find something that will work on her. We use CBD oil and it makes a huge difference with thunder and fireworks, in fact, it's my go-to solution for any anxious moments the pups may encounter. Works every time too.
ReplyDeleteThundershirt and Rescue Remedy maybe?
