The little red squirrel has also been seen coming up to the back door, also to mock Hailey.
The other morning Hailey started barking at the kitchen window. This is odd because the window is too high for her to see out. She was carrying on and I thought she was crazy until I turned and there was her nemesis, on the front porch:
Phod was completely oblivious to all of this. I am sure we are going to have more run-ins with this squirrel this spring!
Do you have a nemesis?
Oh yes all squirrels for us. Little red squirrel better stop teasing Lee or one day you never know?????? Have a terrific Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
When we lived in Minnesota we had a family of squirrels that use to come up on our deck....I use to feed them everyday. Loved it when she bough her babies the first year. The second year she bought her babies and their was I tiny red baby he was only half the size of the others but gosh he was feisty. Watching him grow was so much fun...he was always so much smaller than the others but totally crazy we called him psycho he would fight any other squirrel and constantly made such weird noises and only had one speed...super fast....he was the most hyper squirrel ever :)
ReplyDeleteThat little red thing better stay its distance
ReplyDeleteLily & Edward
That cutie is causing so much trouble??!!
ReplyDeleteOMD that Little Red DEVIL is really CHEEKY to get so Close. We would be going WILD.
ReplyDeleteBoomer has a thing for bunnies and wants to make friends with every cat he sees. Dottie on the other hand has a serious problem with squirrels, but we've found she will stalk just about anything smaller than her!
ReplyDeleteWE also have a little red squirrel boy that lives in the tree right beside our Alcatraz. He often runs up and down the tree just to show us he is free and we are not. Angus despises him. Our dad feeds him. WE do not understand our dad's thinking. he is wasting money on that squirrel and it could be going into our college fund.

Maybe we need to come by and help with this project?

Cats...especially the ones across the street. BUT they aren't quite as cheeky as that squirrel! Going to be a long summer, Lee.

We had a squirrel visitor for the past few weeks. The first thing on Beamer's agenda, everyday, is to rush to the back door, wait to be let out, and run towards the corner of the fence to find the little rascal. I don't think it's a nemesis. I'd like to think of him more as a friend :)
ReplyDeleteDo will need to send over our rodent patrol officer Ruby?
ReplyDeleteThe Mad Scots
Hmmmm....I don't think I have a nemesis. I just want to play with the squirrels but no one will let me off the leash to get close to them. I hear all my blog friends talk about how much they hate squirrels but I just want to be friends with them.
ReplyDeleteThat little furry tailed rat b@$%*d, how dare him to taunt Miss Lee like that. I believe he is the blame for the drywall incident. Lets all chant DEATH TO THE SQUIRREL - DEATH TO THE SQUIRREL!
ReplyDeleteAtoo to you,
Sully
Oh I see the little squirrel! It is sooo cute. Sometimes we have chipmunks... and sometimes squirrels too!

We agree with Sully, the squirrel is to blame for the drywall!!
ReplyDeleteDang that Squirrel!
hugs
Mr Bailey, Hazel & Greta
Maggie & Duke are with you on the squirrel nemesis!
ReplyDeleteWe can't get a third dog because then they'd outweigh me & I'd get dragged through the woods. :)
Black and red squirrels frequent our backyard. Keltic is always on guard to make sure they don't take over.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels of course :o) and the mean Malinois in my neighborhood :o)
ReplyDeleteI know I shouldn't say this, but it's kinda cute. I have an orange dragonfly that likes to tease us. It's not fair that it can tease and fly off.
