Tis The Season

The holiday season is upon us. We got our first real snow a week ago. We got 25cm/10 inches overnight. Much of it has melted because it has been above freezing. It was the perfect snowman weather on Friday so during my lunch I whipped up a snow person, who melted enough to fall over later in the afternoon. It was fun and I can't remember the last time I built one.

Friday, Hailey helped me with the Blogville snail mail cards. I wanted to get them in the mail on Saturday in hopes they may make it before Christmas. The postal outlet, in our corner store, was very busy and it took a long time to get the stamps. As it is the only holiday line I will likely be in, I can't complain and I was able to be 6 feet from others. My gift shopping is done. I only have 6 people to buy for, as most of my friends and family have decided to not do gifts.

The decorating has begun. Saturday night we did the Hanukkah decorations, Sunday the Christmas one. This means one thing, soon our hat tax will be paid. Stay tuned!

  2. I've never seen one of these trees except in pictures like yours and an Advertiserments for them. If I had not seen them in ads I would have thought Pho d and Lee had a fight and turn the tree up side down! Beautiful! Hurry Santa

  4. Wow! You got a lot of snow! We had a dusting of it yesterday. But not enough to make a snowman. It's mostly melted today. We think your tree is very beautiful! There's a house in our neighborhood that has all blue lights and decorations all over it. It makes my ghostwriter happy to see it at night as she's driving home from work.

No snow here although there were rumors about some today. NOPE, just wet, dreary, and cold:(

  7. Hi friends! Ojo here! A snowman! Can I destroy it with my paws? (It already melted? That's too bad.) A Hanukkah tree! Can I pull the decorations off for chewing on? (Not allowed? That's too bad.) Still, it looks like a very fun and festive time in your house!

  10. Thanks for sharing these wonderful photos with us. It was so great to see the awesome looking snowman that you made. We use to get plenty of snow and every year it's barely nothing anymore. That is such a great Christmas tree. Have a wonderful day.
