Mischief Monday - SNAP!

One evening last week as we headed out for our after dinner stroll (which is getting quite dark), just a few steps from the house there was a snap and Miss Hailey Bug was no longer attached to the leash. Years of strain had caused her leash to snap.

Fortunately, she responded to the Man's calls to wait and he was able to hold her while Lady went to retrieve the back up leash.

Lady was very grateful this happened where and when it did. Can you imagine the end of last weeks skunk encounter if the leash had broken then?

I am disappointed I didn't get to adventure.

Yikes, well, Lee, maybe it's best we don't let our minds wander too far down the 'what if' path!!! Hugs and wags, YAM=aunty xxx

  5. Our patron saint, Old Charisma, used to sneak out the door and go on adventures around the neighborhood. Fortunately she never got hurt or lost.

  7. Argh! We had that happen on a walk. Now I have an extra ring attached to the leash that will at least keep dog and lease together till we can replace. You guys were very lucky.

  10. Good thing you taught her that "wait" command and she responded well. Mom often thinks she should tie an extra leash around her waist when she is out walking.
