Dear Pals,
We are having a disagreement in my house these days about my behaviour. You see, when this whole pandemic started, I was sleeping in until about 7:15. Now, in week 6, I think we should be getting up much earlier, like closer to 6 am. I tell my people, the early bird gets the worm. They are not as impressed. Lady is a natural morning person, but she says she would like her days to start after 6:30.
I said, I can't help it that the days are getting longer and I want to make the most of it.
Who do you think is right in this? Me who thinks we should get up and face the day (and have lots of naps) or Lady who would like to stay in bed a little longer?
Your pal Hailey Bug, who loves her routine!
we are with you professor lee... the mama said 7:30 is early enough, so she can find the way to the bathroom without using the lights... oh my... we find the way to our bathroom even at night, so 6:30 is lift off, that's for sure...

ReplyDelete...I'm torn. Mostly, Hailey dear, I am inclined to agree with you and in my own Hutch, I'd be up with the light, to bed with the dark and cope with whatever comes between. Nowadays, though, my hours are not my own and so that 0630 start every morning, even in the lightness, is starting to feel like the middle of the night....... hugs and wags, YAM-aunty xxx
Hailey...I know for a fact Angel Madi is on team Lee.
ReplyDeleteAs for the two humans here we'd love to awake at 6:30 am but for some reason when you get to be older than dirt evidently you need less sleep...
Hugs Cecilia
Hailey, we need to swap places. I would happily have a long lie in every morning, but Gail insists on getting up early still. I don't think she's got the hang of this retirement business at all just yet...
ReplyDeleteToodle pip!
Bertie.
big boy wants to sleep in but mama and daddy are both larks and he never gets to sleep past 4 am..
ReplyDeleteWe used to all be early birdies in our house too. But now that Dad is retired and my ghostwriter works the evening shift, we sleep until 9am! Who knows, maybe when GW retires we'll all become early birdies again!
ReplyDeleteI wish my mom never slept and would always be on stand-by to play with me - morning, afternoon or evening☺
ReplyDeleteHailey, if it is bright outside, we need to be up, fed, and outside to check for nighttime invaders. But at the same time it is a good idea to keep the hand that feeds us happy:)

Rosy totally agrees with you Hailey and wakes up as soon as light comes thru the window...The rest of us sure wish she would wait until at least 6:30!
ReplyDeleteWalter is on your side Hailey. He would get us up at the crack of dawn if he could. On the other hand Millie would sleep until noon if it was up to her.
ReplyDeleteHailey....just remember who has control of the treat cupboard. We get up at 4 a.m.
ReplyDeleteHilda here! I am usually the last one to get out of bed in the morning BOL!
