Another Walk

Lady messed up the time for this so some of you saw it yesterday! She clearly wasn't ready for August!

On Tuesday we shared our walk to the boat club. Today, we will share our walk to the south of the cottage.

On our way, we met this toad. Lee gave him a kiss, but he was not her prince.

The road on the way there.

The river we crossed over.

Lee checking out the river.

Lady didn't know this trail had a name. She just thought it was the way to . . . .

the lighthouse! This is the Point Clark Lighthouse. The lighthouse was built between 1855-1859. It is one of the few to be made primarily from stone. Lady, Lady's Dad, Lady's Grandmother and most likely her Great Grandmother have all climbed to the top.

This is our best lighthouse pose!

It was very hot, even at 7:30 am. The walk is about 1.5 km (almost a mile) one way to the lighthouse, and there is sooooooo much to smell.

We hope you enjoyed this walk today.

PS. Grammie and the Big Guy have been kind and let Lee sleep with them (we have fireworks and another thunderstorm). We are not sure if she slept, but she didn't keep the house up, so we are all ok with that!

  2. Imagine how hard it was to build a lighthouse, stone by stone, that long ago!! I am surprised that it's not leaning ;) What a great walk!
