Apparently this smell was offensive because Wednesday afternoon, while home with the Man, Phod did a super job at rolling in turkey poop. The Man in the end had to give him a full bath because he was covered in it!
He smelt much better after the bath, which he did not enjoy.
Phod is back to his old self. It does seem him mouth may be a little sensitive still as he doesn't want to play as much ball. We are sure this will pass quickly. Thank you all for your POTP.
The Lady apologizes for not being an active visitor to other people's blogs. She has had a few crazy work weeks. The kind where she leaves the house at 7 am, arrives home at 8:30 pm and is in bed by 9. In a few weeks work should even out and be slightly less crazy!
PoopPoopDeDoo ... Oh, Phod ... sorry we missed visiting and did not know you had surgery! Hoping you are lots and lots better now ... Dougie Dog does not blame you at all for wanting to get rid of all that doctor/vet/mediciney smell which you probably came home with! He thinks poop is a much nicer smell, specially when it's your own, he says Good Job. Anyways ... woof, woof and go fetch some wilsons! Tails wags from us (see you soon at Boolatry!)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on the crazy work days. I work 7:00 AM to 9:30 PM three days a week. (Plus shorter days) I will be glad when this ends in November.
ReplyDeleteOooh, turkey poop? Sounds fun!!
ReplyDeleteI have rolled in turkey poop too, Phod. Isn't it just the bestest! Bummer about your bath.
ReplyDeleteBird poop is the best for rolling in. Way to go. Hope Phod's mouth continues to improve and you are able to get back to visiting. 😍
ReplyDeletePoor Phod...just when you got your fur back to smelling good the man goes and stinks it up!

You sure did a good job covering up that shampoo smell with that bird poop. Sorry you had to have a bath to get that poop smell off. We're keeping our paws crossed that you have a full recovery soon Phod.
ReplyDeleteWhere in the world did you find turkey poop???? I never find good stuff like that! We've also been getting way behind on the doggie bloggies. Ghostwriter has been working a lot lately too! Hope you feel better soon, Phod!
ReplyDeletePhod, we sure hope your mouth is feeling better soon. As for that turkey poop, it must have smelled pawesome; otherwise the humans would never have insisted on the evil bath. They just can't stand it when we smell better than they do. We have a flock of turkeys we run into every day on our walks. They run away from us, but we are going to see if we can find their poop, but don't tell our Mom:)

Eeeww. Turkey poop is sticky. I found this stuff long time ago that fixes the "just had a bath" (yucky) smell. Check it out in this old post of mine. You might want to order some :) https://behrrake.wordpress.com/2008/02/10/problem-solved/. There wasn't any turkey poop though. Sorry
ReplyDeleteOh Phod! We hope rolling in the poop was worth it.
ReplyDeleteOh turkey poop! bet that was a good roll!
